On paper it looks great but this plan is based on the idea the families across the metro are going to drag their rugrats down to the railroad tracks in order to pay for them to play basketball. You decide if that's gonna work: Councilmembers, redevelopment team plan to formally announce historic designation for Kemper Arena

KC would be thinking wrong. KC is the place where they crammed that earnings tax down everyone's throats. KC ain't getting shit for support.
ReplyDeleteYes, thousands of suburbanites will drive past dozens of sports facilities and acres of playing fields for the chance to spend time in KCMO's West Bottoms.
ReplyDeleteThe Fantasyland dreams continue.
And all at KCMO taxpayers' public expense.
Who's the next "developer" with a BIG BIG idea and not enough money?
In Sly's KC, come on down!
Hopefully there won't be shoot outs like in Westport after a tournament. Police will keep it safe.
ReplyDeleteSure is funny how before Sprint Center Kemper was a piece of shit that no one wanted to go to and should be torn down. Now the minute our city crooks want to build a gathering place for yard apes it is suddenly a historical building that can not be raised FOREVER. Guess who is going to pay for FOREVER Peckerwoods?
ReplyDeleteMy question is, how .Uchiha did the city sell the arena for. Foutch said it would cost $25-$30 million to renovate but how much did Foutch actually pay for building.
ReplyDeleteOnly thing historic about Kemper is the number of failed sports teams to call it home (1/2 of them hockey teams)
