TKC FACT CHECK: ANY STORY THAT DOESN'T LEAD WITH 'DECAPITATION' DEATH DEETS REGARDING SCHLITTERBAHN VERRÜCKT DEADLY WATER SLIDE SLAUGHTERHOUSE ISN'T WORTH READING!!!

So many old school middle-class newsroom cornballs are attempting to enforce their worldview on all of Kansas City on the topic of "journalism" and a longstanding news axiom is where the conversation should start . . .

If it bleeds, it leads.

Accordingly . . .

NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT IN KANSAS CITY SCHLITTERBAHN FOLLOWUP COVERAGE THAN DECAPITATION DEETS AND THOSE WHO CAN'T EVEN BRING THEMSELVES TO SAY THE WORD AREN'T CONTRIBUTING ANYTHING TO THE DISCOURSE!!!

As always, the focus of TKC is on saving lives and making sure nothing like this ever happens again . . . Without a clear understanding of this issues, consequences and how this poor kid's head popped off . . . Than polite nerd conversation about federal policy and velcro straps will do nothing but confuse the issue.

Again . . . Until the public understands exactly how the tendons in this poor kid's neck were torn apart and his skull was stretched away from his body leaving a pool of blood that was visible from a nearby highway . . . Then we aren't really getting to the point that will prevent future horrific tragedy.

Like it or not, we're not trying to be mean but local MSM hiding deets from the public and claiming there are "some things we'll never know" is one of the most shameful acts of "journalism" in recent Kansas City history and it's part of the failing corporate news industrial complex which serves to enforce the status quo and champion sports stories over the tragedy of gunshot victims on the east side or tout development rather than neighborhood neglect in Waldo or focus on a political cult of personality rather than so much outright patronage contract corruption that's rampant around 12th & Oak.

Accordingly, here are stories than annoying published locally which back up the claim . . .

  1. TKC, this is new york city tabloid stuff.

I saw a Linda Wagner explain this really well. They made a decision not to use the term decapitation and it gave them more clarity when covering the story and offered a uniform way to approach it.

You've got to respect that and you've got to respect the way things are done among media professionals.

  2. ^^^^^^^^ Total B.S. the way things are done among the "professionals" is to get a tax break for silence and then whine about staff cuts when nobody reads the ensuing reporting. Fox4 actually did a great job and so did most of the tv stations. It's the newspaper that's trying to turn the story into a snooze fest to try and capture the high ground among their last remaining subscribers.

I hope all the Brownback and Hillary bashing helps their cause.

It ain't for us to be meddling in the whys and the whatnots of HIs plan.

It never did nobody no good no how.

  4. Even in Kansas City media is a cutthroat business, you just can't lose your head.

    Too soon?

  5. Agree that the star is trying to bore us to death with their reporting. Who starts a story with, "we'll never know"?

Seems almost like lazy blogging to me. They need somebody to realign their headlines.

  6. The Star story is a pre-emptive strike against KCK Police not releasing the full report once it's done. The combination of investigating a private company with no government oversight, doing business in Kansas, being reviewed by a closed system of KCK Police and the Wyandotte County criminal justice system? The parties settling the incident long before it gets to court? The public deserves to know, but they never will, and it will be the fault of the entities above, not the media.

  7. Star story is a pipe dream. Agree with Tony here and I don't like it. If you can't say the word decapitation then you can't do the story properly.

  8. Fuck that racist COCKSUCKER Alonzo Washington.. He is a hell of a crime fighter. WORTHLESS POS

  9. This stopped being a story weeks ago. All it is now is a draw for pathetic media wannabes who will milk it to death. No one ever said bloggers had integrity, I guess.

  10. 9:36 on the money. UG cover up(s) are underway. Project shoved down the throats of tax payers as the next big circus act to save the city and put it on the map. Goto UG comm's notes to find who was behind the bond deal scam. What you won't find in the notes are commissioners yelling at citizens to sit down and shut up at public meetings.

First phase planned failure. Tickets given away to make it look successful. We all know the UG points to a successful projects equal full parking lots. Multiple Legends bankruptcies were covered up and bailout by tax payers too.

  16. Decapitation.
    Cruel and painful.
    The truth is important.
Not one Kansas Legislator has signalled an investigation into a gruesome decapitation that occurred while they and their kids were at the park sipping lemonade.

Not one Kansas Legislator has said Enough bullshit tort reforms that protect businesses while a child's head flies in the air.

    Truth.

Kansas Legislators, you are crude and cruel servants to business's money.
    You are corrupt.
