Huelskamp made the ridiculous decision to become such a pain in the butt to his own party's leadership and purely for his own selfish purposes, that he was removed from the House Agriculture Committee. Given the fact that his Congressional District consists largely of farm communities that are VERY interested in federal farm subsidies and loan guarantees, his constituents showed him the door.
ReplyDeleteHe will now most likely stay in Washington and become a lobbyist or talking head on cable tv and make five times the money he did in Congress.
Is this a great country, or what?
Not to mention the national crony capitalists he fought against spent large to defeat him. The message to Republicans is clear. Support corporate welfare or your opponent will get massive support.
