Brandee is totally responsible for the dog’s death. She did not have that dog under control. The video shows the dog charging the officers. She should feel awful about her mistake.

ReplyDeleteFirst off the dog was on the owners property - not the cops property. Second the dog was retreating when the cops shot it. There is not a single indication that the police had any kind of arrest or search warrant directing them to the owners property at night. Even if they were looking for someone unrelated or know to the property owner there is not a damn thing on that video that justified using lethal force on that animal or anyone for that matter. That dog had been with that family for 13 years and never a single report of the dog doing anything violent or harming anyone. I challenge anyone to show where that video depicts a situation where an officer or reasonable man would be in fear of his life.

ReplyDeleteI was bitten bad in a customers backyard once by a dog they claimed was harmless. This dog came at me off the owners porch while they were yelling at it to stop and attacked me. Good thing I had my tool belt in my hand and was able to deliver a death blow to the dog. The owners later tried to sue the company I work for but lost. When a dog comes charging at you snapping, they as a rule don't want to be petted. Another time I was standing in a customers dining room by a sliding door explaining to the lady what should be done and her idiot husband let the dobermans out who ran over and destroyed the screen door while trying to eat their way through the glass to get to me. This owner as well was yelling at the dogs to come to him while his wife was freaking out the dogs where indeed going to break the door glass. Jerks train these dogs to be aggressive or attack any stranger all the while not being able to control them.
