  2. Wouldn't you think that maybe the deputy superintendent with responsibility for transportation would have done some basic due diligence of a bus company that had never been contracted with before PRIOR to contracting with them, only to find out all the deficiencies on the first day of school?
    Like review of basic maintenance records and ascertaining the financial viability of the company?
    The new KCPS administration is not off to the best start.
    But what do you want for only $275,000/year plus bonuses?
    At least no one was hurt.
