A good idea or just another way to bring politics into Kansas City police work . . . You decide because the newspaper won't let people comment . . . Which is the only reason we linked the story: KC civil rights groups call for citizens review board in fatal shootings by police

No thanks. These cases go through the proper channels and just because people don't get the outcome they want is no reason to reinvent the wheel. Whether it's through a Grand Jury or a review by the prosecutor, it is vetted and the correct decision is made. A citizen's review is the last thing that is needed. Case in point - look how well that mayor's task force on violence is working out. Those people can't even agree on where to sit for goodness' sake!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds benign - but only if the citizens' review board is made up of people who are not already biased against the police. We know that is not the intent.
ReplyDeleteAll you have to look at is Marilyn Mosby...incompetence at its finest and she is supposed to be "educated"...no thank you. Think of who you would get on these review boards.....
ReplyDeleteJust what we need; BLM investigation the police department. I am allow for a state or national review board if there are ample checks to insure it is non political, non ethnic agenda promoting and actually qualified. Otherwwise you just end up with more fucking ignorant amateur shit heels flapping thier pie holes and stirring the shit.
ReplyDeleteSuite. Alonzo would be great.
ReplyDeletePolice would literally stop doing anything proactive or anything that could create an opportunity for them to be wrongfully smeared across the media for doing what no one else signs up to do.

ReplyDeleteKCPD has an internal affair department.
ReplyDeleteThey were in the paper not too long ago.
The internal affairs officer crashed a KCPD while drunk.
Still works there.
