Kansas City Council Dude Jermaine Reed Stays Winning Bus Stop Prize!!!

Here's a career highlight of a Kansas City politico with no easy landing spot after he's termed out . . . In fairness, this bus stop work honor is a notable achievement that probably garners more support than his previous work which helped to route a ton of cash away from 3rd District PIAC funds for the benefit of the toy train starter line.

Take a look:

Jermaine Reed Wins RideKC Award

"Jermaine Reed, KCMO City Councilman, 3rd District, received the RideKC Award for demonstrating great strides in building a more integrated regional transit system. Councilman Reed has been a long-time believer in public transportation’s role in transforming communities. He has led the Prospect MAX Advisory Committee, has successfully worked locally and nationally to secure federal funds for Kansas City’s third MAX Bus Rapid Transit line in the Prospect Corridor and has strongly supported improving transit access to opportunity as Chairman of the City Council’s Transportation And Infrastructure Committee.

"Kansas City Area Transportation Authority presented the 4th annual KCATA Rosa Parks SPIRIT Awards in August 2016. The awards celebrate individuals and organizations that, in the spirit of Civil Rights Leader Rosa Parks, are making a difference in metro Kansas City and in public transit."

You decide . . .

Credit where credit is due. He has stepped his game up during this second term. I'm not sure if it's due to Lucas arrival or what but he's been a much better rep this go round than the first

"Kansas City", Rosa Parks", Jermaine Reed", "award", and "public transportation" all in the same sentence.
You really can't make this stuff up.
Only the Chamber swells are better at giving themselves and each other awards.

A City leader who actually rides the bus instead of a streetcar? We actually have someone who knows the difference?

Rumor is he and Lucas are both planning on running for Mayor.

Is this real? Reed is a complete imbecile.
