I would guess the person was probably a Mexican since Briggs Traditional Turf Farm, Inc. and all the other farms in southern Johnson Country hire them by the car loads. Meyers Turf farms has falling down old trailers stinking of cat piss and failing sewers and some with no running clean water for their help to sleep in and I'd say 85% of their help is Mexican and most here on phony papers. That is good that OSHA will maybe get into checking these farms out. Many don't even have clean water on them for the workers to easily get access to or vehicles with water jugs on them. Working on the back of those sod cutting machines is brutal in hot weather. Laying of sod is even worse yet. Heavy nasty ass work as a rule in yards with no shade. Those sod farm owners are a brutal almost slave driving type asshole only concerned about themselves and their fancy homes they live in. Meyers Farms is the worse of them all. Why the EPA and OHSA and every other labor agency hasn't raided these places is beyond me. These owners hide behind calling themselves farmers and not having to pay over time while shitting on their help knowing full well they can replace someone in a matter of minutes with another Mexican with fake papers looking for work.

Can't speak the language but I'm sure they can get a fake drivers license to go vote on a machine they can't read. Illegals have been here for decades. The Republican governors of southern states have been letting them in by the millions since the 50's so their fellow Republican business owners could have cheap labor. Hell, Reagan granted amnesty to millions of illegal Mexicans in California while governor. Companies and their lobbyist pay big money to keep that cheap labor here. If Kansas really wanted to get rid of them why doesn't Brownback raid the massive feedlots in Western Kansas? They could get illegals by the thousands around Garden City, Liberal, and those other shit holes. So why doesn't he? Because ADM, Monsanto, Tyson, etc want them here and pay politicians to keep them here.
