In the digital era and in a so-called "smart city" there are still quite a few parking lots dependent on a tiny slip of paper that can easily get discarded . . . We normally ignore these consumer reports but this one was exceptionally well done and reminds us that Downtown parking stays losing . . . Parking warning: Pay to park, still get ticket

How does a private company issue a parking ticket? What happens if you don't pay? Many years ago, Westport used to issue parking tickets. They were slapped down by the Missouri Supreme Court and were no longer allowed to do so. What has changed?

ReplyDeleteThere's not much reason to go to downtown Kansas City. All of the other county offices in nicer places where parking is free... it just seems like a hastle to go anywhere near downtown. I certainly wouldn't want to park there and be another victim of the parking racket. This story should be about why it cost $10 to park anywhere in downtown. That's robbery!
