A flag to unite the metro? Designed by city hall cronies, meaningless to those who choose suburban living? Wasted effort. You want to unite the metro? Create wealth, opportunity, and pride. Do something about rising crime. Repair the collapsing infrastructure. Work first, then flags.
ReplyDeleteAnother worthless fantasy from the usual gaggle of self-absorbed clueless jerks.
ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING is marketing, branding, and PR!
Who is paying for this joke?
KCMO taxpayers?
Come on down!
Not unless we plan to have a "United tax base"
ReplyDeletetheir is already a flag it is called the stars and bars of the confedrate army
ReplyDeleteFlag should have a lone white man with a dollar sign. Fuck they are paying for it all.
ReplyDeleteUntil what passes for "leadership" in KCMO addresses the issue of having to count your fingers after you shake hands with them, a "metro" flag isn't going to do much good.
ReplyDeleteAnd, given the fact that not even the residents of KCMO have any trust or confidence in their own city government, that day doesn't appear very close.
Watching the gang at 12th and Oak throw away other people's money year after year is more than enough, thanks.
I have the perfect design. A dollar sign with wings flying away, and under it one stick figure man murdering another. Get to it with all that disposable income and abundant free time, kiddos of wealth!
ReplyDeleteA flag doesn't unit. It divides. Who came up with that? A waste of time. Bad idea. What will they not think through clearly next?
ReplyDeleteLets adopt the Confederate flag just to fuck with 'em.
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm not really into the tribalism that flags imply, it might be kind of neat to design something that includes all the local gang colors along with those of the cops, fire mafia and public employees unions.
ReplyDeleteA flag? This is beyond stupid. Remember the ridicule over the CK logo?
ReplyDeleteCities that waste money on "branding" are almost always the ones that are totally nowhere places. It's like the newspapers that used to have "progress editions." (back when there were still newspapers) They were always in places where there hadn't been any since the year they installed indoor toilets.
