Our morning reporting confirmed by mainstream media sources . . .
Check the roundup . . .
Northeast News: KC Council nearing $7 million 18th and Vine compromise
KSHB: Jazz District renovation gets cheaper price tag
Newspaper: Kansas City Council closer to agreement on 18th and Vine funding
Nevertheless, we've been talking this issue FIRST and in greater detail than any other news source thanks to our KICK-ASS bloggy community.
More in a bit . . .
Raise the shit hole and build a box mall paid for by business that wants to make a buck rather than draining the tax payers with more of this libtard, dreamer, pandering crap.
ReplyDelete"Oh....you're not gonna give us 27 million? Hmmm....
ReplyDeleteWhat ya have? 7 million? Yeah, that'll work."
This phony bullshit has just got to stop, don't you think?
^^^^ agree.
ReplyDeleteHuge problem is no one knows what in blazes the money is going to be used for exactly. Just throwing more money into a black hole. I'm a fan of the 18th and Vine District and think it's a city treasure. But I'm NOT of fan of irresponsible spending of tax payer dollars. The Jazz District has been handed over $100M over it's existence. And it still needs more
ReplyDeleteI get that the east side wants it's share considering the 100s and 100s of millions of dollars that have gone towards the P&L, River Market, Crossroads, etc. But at some point you gotta draw the line on irresponsible spending. Especially irresponsible spending that no one can say where the money is going or how it'll be spent exactly.
Fix the potholes, water mains and remove the steel plates in the street, then we'll discuss 18th & Vine and possibly more toy trains.
