Right now we need to clear the name of a long-running Kansas City political contender who faces some nasty Internets allegations.
This trashy comment was recently posted and deserves a fact check . . .
"Ann McGregor killed "Dutch." Ann McGregor's hateful challenge to our beloved 5th Ward Democratic Committeewoman killed "Dutch." She did not need this stress.
"YOU WILL LIVE WITH THIS CRIME FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE ANN! God will need answers from you!"
TKC FACT CHECK: NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH, DUTCH WAS SICK FOR YEARS BEFORE HER DEMISE WAS DUE TO HEALTH REASONS NOT STRESS OR HOMICIDE!!! HER DEATH @ 95 WAS SAD BUT NOT UNEXPECTED!!!
At that age, every day is a miracle (as it is at any age) but this bit of rhetoric needs to be stopped post haste and we want to be the 1st to contradict the misguided notion that's already becoming a pretty good Midtown KC joke.
Now that we got that taken care of . . . There's something more interesting at play . . .
KANSAS CITY INSIDERS ARE CALLING ON VOTERS TO CHOOSE DUTCH DESPITE HER CURRENT CONDITION AND McGREGOR COULD SUFFER AN EMBARRASSING DEFEAT TO A DEAD LADY!!!
Remember that this kind of Missouri political afterlife political triumph happened in 2000 when Missouri voted for Mel Carhahan over John Ashcroft after a tragic plane crash took the life of the former politico engaged in a Senate battle. And so . . . This moment of rare Democratic glory in Missouri is being used as a touchstone to keep the memory of Dutch alive despite the impulse of more macabre local Democratic denizens to look at this tragic episode as a bit of good timing for Ms. McGregor in her controversial JaxCo 5th Ward Committee quest.

The Missouri Democratic Party has a history of electing dead people (perhaps largely on the votes of other dead people). They actually govern better than live Democrats. So drop out, Anne, for tradition's sake.

ReplyDeleteQuestions for the TKC community that are going around the courthouse: Did Dutch live with her daughter and not really in her district and McGregor was going to make a residency challenge? Did Dutch already vote absentee and will that vote count? And very interesting, was Dutch visited by the FBI in connection with Mike Sanders giving jobs and awarding contracts to her family and friends in exchange for political endorsements and favors which is one of the reasons for Sanders abrupt resignation? What's true and what isn't?
