Just because you pay property and sales taxes and assessments and fees, you really shouldn't expect any actual city services that are meaningful to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThe money is being spent to make downtown KC into the booming metropolis that it once was in the 1950s.
If you want public safety, fire, or other services, you need to form a CID and TAX YOURSELF AGAIN.
Or, if your house catches on fire, just call your friendly TIF bond attorney, who's doing very well financially (thanks for asking)by taking his little slice of the endless subsidized "developments" approved by one city agency or another.
Or you can move to a jurisdiction that actually has a municipal government. There are around 114 of them in the metro.
