TKC SATURDAY NIGHT PLAYLIST!!! FACT CHECK KANSAS CITY: FACEBOOK STAYS LOSING PRIMARY CAMPAIGN SEASON!!!
Just a quick bit of insight and reality to share among the political set this evening as we slouch toward the primary and Kansas City politicos make the next few days a living Hell . . .
FACEBOOK HAS FAILED TO BECOME AN EFFECTIVE FORCE IN LOCAL KANSAS CITY POLITICS DESPITE SO MANY CANDIDATES AND THEIR CHEERLEADERS WASTING TIME AND MONEY ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!!
We'll point out examples after disappointment Tuesday but here's a quick preview . . .
- The Internets savvy among the server class in Kansas City rage quite effectively online but they're losing a petition battle inside the chambers of City Hall where legislation is crafted.
- Kansas City Girl Power candidates are generating great buzz on Facebook but the reality of polling among likely voters proves that their effort in online reinforcement hasn't translated into votes.
- On the bright side . . . A few savvy candidates are leveraging social media sharing in order to document their real work in the community and that seems like a more organic and realistic use of their efforts instead of sponsored social media feed spam.
Fact is, most people don't care about the Internets content mill unless they can derive some direct benefit from it and that's why we're sharing this realistic campaign tidbit in order to better inform our politically engaged Kansas City denizens about the unfulfilled promise (i.e. hype) of the digital age.
And all of this has inspired tonight's playlist filled with our favorite somewhat recent and classic dance songs for this Saturday night . . .

You want to talk effective use of the media, look no further than Donald Trump who has mastered the media more than any politician since Ronald Reagan. His campaign was won of free media hand hillary has outspent him 5 to 1 just to reach a tie.

Hillary is doing fine. I'm more worried about the leadership of mayor james.
ReplyDeleteCrystal and her feminazis have really messed up the political climate for women in this City and she herself is a cancer that will hurt anyone that drinks her kool aid. She has worn out her welcome and her credibility is shit. Her buddies at the Star would be shocked if they knew how she sells there endorsement to local unions. She is a Hollywood set all front and no depth.

ReplyDeleteSocial media efforts in a political campaign has the lasting power of about four minutes, which may seem great in a society with an attention span of a gnat, and it may be great for getting people fired up for a short time.
ReplyDeleteBut it certainly doesn't have any staying power.
In in the case of local KC candidates, nothing, including social media can turn chicken crap into chicken salad.
Mostly little more than lipstick on a pig.
