Sleaze Summit Scandal Over $800
Here's what passes for political intrigue in the suburbs:
"District 1 Council Woman Diane Forte took two jobs from the city without bidding out the business to her competitors. One of the jobs was worth $700, and the other was worth $1,100. According to city rules, any job worth more than $500 should be bid out."
And so . . . Whilst raging over trophy-making contracts isn't exactly a fight for good government, it provided just a bit of entertainment for suburbanites who didn't have anything better to do on a weekday night . . .
