White guilt? Whatever. I grew up white and POOR, I have WORKED since I was 14, I was the first in my family to go to college which, I got student loans for, which took ME fifteen years to pay back. The only "privilege" I had was the "privilege" of having a married mother and father that encouraged me. If that is "white privilege" then so be it, I do not feel guilty, and I can only help my children with that one!

1. Stay married, even if it is only for the kids, that gives them stability. Divorce/single mothers are the leading factor in child poverty
2. Teach them responsibility both personally and professionally.
3. Make them work and earn their own way.
4. Teach them that life is not fair, period, get over it, no matter what race you are! HARD WORK AND PERSEVERANCE ARE KEYS TO SUCCESS!
You can choose to live your life as a victim but in the end you are only hurting yourself.
