Craig And The Kansas City Comedy Weekend

A note from our pal Craig regarding his weekend . . .

Steve Kramer Returns Home To Stanfords

Steve Kramer, with his celebrity impressions and crazy funny songs and stand up genius returns home to Stanfords this weekend. Kramer and his co star internationally, Pablo Francisco have been all over the world doing their shows the past two years. Pablo remains a sell out act both in the United States and Europe.

The Steve Kramer story has had its ups and downs. Steve was maybe not only KC's hottest thing going in the early 2000's but the talk of Hollywood. In just two short years, mostly working just the Westport Stanfords, agents came out to see the young man with the gifted singing voice and celebrity impressions second to none. Steve was hired at age 27 to star on the new Warner Brothers series 'Hype.' His co stars were Frank Caliendo and Michael Roof. The Saturday Night Live styled show lasted just two seasons, but Steve was invited by Sat. Live to come to New York and be part of that show. Kramer opted to go on the road and do stand up to get ready. They hired someone else and Steve was left hanging for a few years. He did land a spot on 'Chicken's' Raise The Roofs, but missing out on his dream of Saturday Night Live was a bitter pill. Caliendo went on to MAD TV and later ESPN and CBS fame and fortune.

Kramer met Pablo at Stanfords and they became fast pals. Pablo took Steve with him to do stand up for the next few years. Last year Jennifer Lopez saw the guys in Vegas and offered them their own show on her network. It begins this fall. Since Kramer has also become an animator of all his celebrity voices and stars. That will be part of the TV show. His newest is Donald Trump hiring Arnold to replace him on 'The Apprentice' and all the stars on the show. Fantastic he shows it on screen at Stanfords. See him this Friday and Saturday Night Stanfords Overland Park. Stanfordscomedyclub.com or call 913 4007500 for tix and dinner.

Next week its Tonight Show regular Mike Kosta, who hosts The Soup and The Comment Section, was a regular on Chelsea Lately. Then just announced one of todays stars of Saturday Night Live, WEEKEND UPDATE for the last several years, Colin Joust will do a one night special two shows Friday August 19th at Stanfords. Have a nice 4th of July week.
