Rizzo for Senate Launches TV Spot for August Primary

John Rizzo Buys $158K in TV Advertising for State Senate Race

Independence, MO – On Friday, State Senate candidate John Rizzo announced his first television ad buy for the August 2nd primary election. Rizzo is running in a contested Democratic primary in Missouri’s 11th Senate District.

The television spot “Family” will run after the 4th of July weekend, beginning July 5, and will include 2,400 GRPs on cable over four weeks and 750 GRPs on broadcast over three weeks. The total amount of the ad buy is $158,400.

John Rizzo, a Jackson County Democrat, is a lifelong resident of Jackson County and currently represents parts of Independence, Sugar Creek, and Kansas City. As a trusted community leader and public servant, John first joined the Missouri House of Representatives to offer local residents an independent and honest voice in Jefferson City. He will continue that public service in the Missouri Senate, ensuring that working families in the local community and throughout Missouri will be protected from harmful, anti-worker legislation. John has been a long-time member of Communication Workers of America.

  1. Not bad, time for the Bernie Sanders girl to drop out.

  2. It's about time KC had some old school Democrats, blue dog democrats who aren't on the Hillary train. The rest of these people act like we're in San Francisco, we're not. Eastern Jack Democrats have a prod tradition starting with Harry Truman - who would be considered a moderate republican nowadays.

Getting tired of all the "girl power" stuff.

It's time to vote for people who know what they're doing and can work in the House.

  3. Goodbye Bernie lady.

Finally, we need some real Democrats in Jeff City. It can't all be LGBT stuff, we're trying to marginalize ourselves instead of seeing that for the Missouri republicans it's mostly about money and they only pretend care about the stupid social issues they use to win races while they're selling out to corporations.

  8. $158 grand for tv advertising for a Missouri state senate campaign?
For a Democratic candidate in a body where they're in such a minority that they can't even visit the bathroom without permission from the Republican majority?
    Follow the money.

  9. I'm sure all the non-citizen Somalians will vote for him...again.

  10. The plural is Somali, Bob and I like them more than the Kc Hillary daisy chain.

  11. Crystal Williams is wasting Democratic dollars in a primary. She hates Unions.

Jess was "Ready for Hillary" all the way. She is Crystal's girl. They only vote for women no matter what the rap sheet says.

  14. You have not even seen what John Carnes will do to the "former" Meth-Head priestess?

  15. He;s a Blue Dog alright. Rizzo's need to go home and mow the grass.

  16. JJ Rizzo is a closeted gay man. Just like his keeper Victor Callahan. The only thing he has going for him in that district is that he is not an activist against Catholics and Community of Christ. Jessica is doomed.

  17. No matter what it looks like just remember that To9ny does not endorse political candidates.

    WAAAAAAAAHAAAAHAHAHHAHAH

  18. I like it, I'm not ready for #Jess.

  19. I feel so sorry for Jessica, she has truly been a pawn for Crystal Williams. She has lied to her over and over, Jessica has gotten friends and family to volunteer for her and she has no idea that she is being used. She should really look at the people around her to blame when she loses, because they knew it from the beginning. It's a shame.

  20. 9:43: Even if what you say is true, does that have any relevance? In other words, can a closeted gay man do the job? If the answer is yes, then you'll have to find another issue, Will.

  21. Cab a closeted gay man do the job? I suppose we will find out if Koster wins.

  22. Brightest careers in politics? This guy is as crooked as it gets. He is still mired with ethics and voter fraud issues.
