ReplyDeleteClick is a disgrace to American academics. To say she deserves anything other than being fired is to say that we support hooliganism and mental defectiveness.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, this highlights one of the many structural deficiencies facing our nation. Young adults are being "taught" that it is OK to deny freedom speech to those whose opinions you disagree with. That is what Click proposed, and even went so far as to threaten physical violence. As an educator she went waaaaaaay over the line.

Hispanic protesters at MU recently shouted down a group of students who rallied in support of the victims of the Orlando shooting. The protesters were pissed off that the support was for the gay victims and failed to highlight that most of the victims were Hispanic.
