KANSAS CITY DOUBLE DRIVE-BY MURDER COUNTS KILLING #42 BRINGING HOMICIDE 2016 NUMBERS NEAR 5-YEAR-HIGH!!!
Just as Kansas City Insiders warned our blog community . . . The quotient of human misery and murder this Summer is already beginning to spike.

BREAKING!!! THIS MORNING DOUBLE MURDER MOVES KANSAS CITY TOWARD RECORD HIGH HOMICIDE NUMBERS!!!
The deets of a man and woman found shot dead near a car:
KSHB: Two people were killed early Saturday morning in an apparent drive-by shooting near 38th and Park Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri.
The KCPD Chief is live-tweeting the scene but as always its important to give some context to these numbers that mainstream news often fails to provide because of their instinct to play cheerleader for the Kansas City rather than convey useful information.
Unofficially, these double killings bring the 2016 murder total to 42 compared with 33 at this time last year which was a 36% increase over the year before that . . . In fact, this number now threatens to eclipse the 2012 homicide count of 43 at this date on the calendar during that bloody year.
Like it or not, Kansas City numbers are trending upward over the past two years. Proposed solutions from the Mayor's Office don't seem to be working as KCNova claimed early success but hasn't held on to those highly touted gains. Meanwhile, attendance for the KCMO Citizen's Task Force On Violence has dwindled as the group has yet to release any statement or proposed solutions and most members of the commission have given up on active participation.

Such things are to be expected in a town with substandard public transportation facilities. In fact, she HAS been issuing reports on how to stop the killing. What do you think the liquor ordinance changes and airport boosting is all about? If you had been paying any attention you would know that airports and trains always reduce crime!

ReplyDeleteIt's a second shooting on the same block. The first was a drive-by. One girl and a man shot inside a house. This time two people were killed.
