  1. They should take their time getting back on the street. Looks like the jumped the gun last time around.

is somebody going to get hurt on this thing?

Why does KC always seem to buy junk?

  2. Expand #kcstreetcar to Truman Sports Complex, build the rolling roof, tear out the north loop of I-70, & build downtown baseball stadium.

  3. Not much defense of this thing even on twitter.

  5. A downtown sports complex could have changed this climate of this city in more ways than all the money spend on P&L, 18th and Vine, the streetcar combined.

  10. 100,000 people are waiting to go slowly for a couple of miles and possibly back!! Hurry up!!

  11. Yeah and just a few decades ago all the excuses in the world were used to convince tax payers to build stadiums in the boonies. What the city needs to do is tear down the sports stadiums and stop rewarding organizations like the NFL for strong arming for major renovations and witholding Superbowls.

  14. Just more confirmation that the streetcar is tourist junk not real transit.

  15. It's not just the streetcars they did a shit job on constructing the line also. But hey it came in under budget!

    So they claim

  16. My toilet got clogged guys! Indoor plumbing is a hipster boondoggle and we must fight S'Liar James and SAVE oUR oUTHoUSes!

  18. Didn't bother to read the article guys, don't care what it sez. Streetcar sux! High fives all around for cars brah! They never break and the are perfect and free and pay for themselves just like magical roads and Stalder's imaginary bus plan that goes everywhere you want from wherever you are for free and makes Northeast better than downtown STL, instead of a bombed out slum that contributes nothing to the tax base but sucks up PD, FD, Parks and Public Works resources despite being about half vacant, BUT HAS BUS SERVICE!

  19. So the spokesperson for the streetcar said on TV that they deploy "transit buses" to pick up the streetcar riders. So in other words, the same buses that have run on Main St for years will now pick up streetcar people. So why do we need a $110 million streetcar when buses transport people more reliably?

    ReplyDelete
  20. The comparison to cars is apt. What would you do if your car broke down 3 times in the first month after purchase?

  21. "Streetcar pole ‘hot to the touch’ causes service shut down as precaution"

    Let the boondoggle begin

  22. Building it in the first place is what went wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The streetcar is a $100M bus on rails. It doesn't have the right of way, stops at all stoplights, yields to pedestrians, and follows the speed limit, just like all other cars -- except it's on fixed rails so it can't be moved of it breaks down and can't go around any traffic accidents that may occur in front of it.

  24. Hope the 318 and 555 enjoy paying for their mess.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 5:59, you summed it up well. Just of what $110 million could do to make our bus system faster and better.

    ReplyDelete
  26. But Millennials in Kansas City don't want to ride a bus.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Fuck the PUSSY Millennials. They just have to go from their parents house where they live
    to Starbucks.

  28. KC reminds me of the squirt kid that wants to run with the big boys and act all grown up and shit. They just constantly dream up these half thought out ideas and then look like fucking buffoons when things don't work out. KC is just jam packed with dumb ideas that were never going to work and the local yokels only answer is to keep throwing tax payer money down the dark hole.

  31. Trying to wrap my mind around losers getting therapeutic relief for their everlasting hate and anger by posting on a dumb ass blog site.

    Freggin' failures.

    How's life in 1966?

By the way, if it looks like Trump will win, convert all of your assets to gold. The numbnutz is already talking about threatening default on treasury notes.

Those are US debt instruments to all the finsal deep thinkers that read this blog.

  33. The arguments in favor of the streetcar are getting hard to comprehend. Do these people really care about what's good for Kansas City or are they just wanting to pick up their paycheck?

  36. GREATWHITES,

Just more evidence on why the lowly common negro is so despised around the world! You can get more out of the doorknob on your front door! Than the lowly common negro. At least the doorknob has a purpose in this world. Can't wait till the lowly common negro is gone from the United States of America as well as their enablers the progressive liberals as well. The White man has been to the moon so there should be no problem with getting those two of a kind of the shores of America. What kind of man gleefully tells the world that his mother is accepting/taking food stamps from a gov't agency? The lowly common negro that's who!

    GODSPEED/SEGREGATION NATION!!!
