Amid a tighter budget there's simply less money for City Hall to hire scores of youngsters in order to satisfy political favors and get a new generation accustomed to how 12th & Oak favor trading works.

But there's an even better contradiction here . . .
MAYOR SLY'S $15 AN HOUR MINIMUM WAGE ACTIVISM HAS ALSO HELPED TO KILL SUMMER JOBS FOR YOUTH!!!
The high-turnover fast food industry was responsible for a staple of Summer employment for youngsters but over the past couple of years the Mayor advocates paying these workers middle-class wages.
The reaction to this political ploy has been swift from corporate America . . .
SOONER THAN MOST CAN IMAGINE, FAST FOOD PLACES ARE HIRING ROBOTS OVER PEOPLE!!!
The word comes right from one of the former top employers in the nation:

And so . . . Mayor Sly seems to be talking into the wind when he calls out local companies to hire more youngsters when City Hall doesn't have the money to keep up their youth employment levels.
