Beyond all the word play here's a brief description of one of many Kansas City groups doing something more productive than complaining on the Internets . . .

"When the Heartland Men's Chorus formed in 1986, the AIDS crisis was at its peak and the idea of a place where gay men could find solace and support was in itself a statement. Thirty years later, the chorus has grown by leaps and bounds, both in terms of its size and popularity. I Rise, the 30th Anniversary concert the chorus was starting to rehearse, will take place at the Folly Theater on June 11th & 12th."

  2. They better have their fun now, as there will be Christians with shotguns hunting them down in the streets if the Religious Freedom Bill passes. At least that is what was reported yesterday...and we know the media is unbiased in its reporting.

  5. We always wondered why the Gay chorus is 99.9 % white. Hardly a welcoming organization for African American Gays

  8. The chorus should tour tolerant cities such as Tehran and Riyadh, I'm sure they'll receive a warm welcome. Just be careful on the tour of the tallest buildings in those cities, some of these gay men may "accidentally" fall off the top stories.
