CORDISH STAYS WINNING!!! KANSAS CITY RACIAL PROFILING COMPLAINTS AGAINST POWER AND LIGHT DISTRICT DISMISSED!!!

Some call this a Kansas City victory for dress codes, taxpayer subsidy that never seems to pay off and the rights of bully bouncers . . .

KCUR: Judge Tosses Lawsuit Alleging Racial Profiling In Power & Light District

Deets:

"A Jackson County judge has thrown out an incendiary lawsuit alleging that the owner of the Power & Light District discriminated against black patrons and ginned up disturbances as a pretext to eject them from its bars and restaurants.

Jackson County Circuit Judge Joel P. Fahnestock last week granted motions for summary judgment filed by The Cordish Companies of Baltimore and other defendants, ruling that plaintiff Glenn E. Cusimano had failed to substantiate his claims."

And so we put the question to our reader community . . .

IS THIS A VICTORY FOR KANSAS CITY OR A DECISION THAT COULD MAKE DOWNTOWN MORE DIVISIVE AND DANGEROUS?!?!

Remember that the Ryan Stokes shooting incident occurred in the Power and Light district and ongoing complaints still abound while this place continues to lose at least $15 million for KCMO taxpayers EVERY YEAR.

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. The hottest judge ever named Joel but in the end just a lackey for the development/construction/TIF complex.

  2. 16th Judicial Circuit is bought and paid for by politicians and developers. The complaining party had no chance. Justice is paid for and it has nothing to do with facts. They'll twist the law any which way to favor makor contributors.

  4. 2:10 - total baloney. Blame yourself for having beliefs with no rational basis rather than somebody else for not justifying your inanity.

Blame yourself for believing in the bs. That's why these judges get away with what they do. They have people like you blindly supporting them.

  6. If bars in Lee's Summit or Blue Springs had treated blacks as bad as the P&L District they would have been bankrupted years ago. The city knows they have to protect their investment and if that involves keep it white so be it.

  7. SUMMARY JUDGEMENT

Jackson County Circuit Judge Joel P. Fahnestock is a she!

KC Power and Light District is a tax-subsidized mirage, which exists because they're an ongoing source of bribe money to greedy local politicians. (see campaign contribution reports)

Plaintiff in this case is a douchebag with a history of legal problems (bad check, wire fraud) who failed to present a clear convincing case.

Plaintiff's legal team was admonished by the judge for poor behavior.

Power and Light District would be a bigger failure than they already are, if they didn't take steps to limit access to undesirables. Yes, it's discriminatory, but so are most country clubs.

  8. Great news! Cordish & the P&L District do not discriminate against minorities -- Jason Whitlock and hundreds of young black men were all hallucinating. Must be all those drugs -- 'cause they damn sure couldn't get a drink there.

Oh, and Trump's hair just looks that way naturally. And, Sly and I both wear size 30 waist jeans.

Cordish was always careful to hide behind multiple corporate veils and private security firms -- even buying the services of off-duty KCPD officers. Successfully hidden is not the same as innocent.

  9. Cordish has tons of capital parked in offshore accounts why would they worry?

    ReplyDelete
  10. The Cordishes have four trusts in the Cook Islands through TrustNet and the family placed $116 million worth of assets in them, a transfer they disclosed to the IRS.

And they continue to strip mine Kansas City taxpayers with complete immunity.

  11. Cordish invests millions and some ass hat with dirty drawers wants to tell them how to run the show. Damn, take a shower follow the dress code and have fun. There are restaurants and facilities in this town that have required coat and tie for years and non of them ever got sue by a dirt bag. Quit whining like ghetto shit and clean up your act if you want to run with the big boys. Otherwise go where your attire is appropriate.

  12. "Jason Whitlock and hundreds of young black men were all hallucinating." Or maybe you Democrats added a little something extra to their Kool-Aid.

  13. What kind of clientele do we at Cordish desire for our magnificent district? A successful type. Serfs who do all the right things--get a university degree, work hard, serve their masters well, etc.-- the problem is they find that "getting ahead" has been redefined as "running in place to keep from falling behind" eventually.

  14. Democrat greedy weasel trial lawyers and black Democrats join up to scam big $$$--

epic fail this time .. but..they'll be ba-aaack.

  15. Who are all the For Club and Country douche bags in the pic?

  17. If Mr. Cardella owned a bar in this town and wanted to make a profit, he would sure as fucking hell, be worried about black thugs coming into his bar and running off paying customers.

It's easy to sit on the sidelines and criticize folks who, in this politically correct tyrannical environment, are trying to make a living. Now fuck the Cordish pricks and all that, but anyone, ANYONE who owns a bar and doesn't keep the thugs out, will be out of business in no time. Period.

Talk all that holier than thou shit all you want, when it is your money, fuck those thugs.

  18. Maybe I should take that chip off my shoulder. Nothing questionable going on here. 45' Lafitte
and two cheese burgers with special sauce please! No evidence of hate in this town. Agree?

  21. ^^^^ really? They loot and shuffle. It's like walking/running in shackles.

  22. A Federal judge and Now a State judge have tossed this horseshit case. Get a fucking clue already. It is not RAYSHITZM to set dress standards for admittance to your business. Now bar coons, even the ones with those nasty ass designer gold teeth, and you likely have a problem, unfortunately.

  23. Good news...
Cordish investing millions- keep getting this crap from gold diggers...
Good for you Cordish..the judge got it right for sure...

  24. I find it amazing that the cordish racist bullies continue to get away with stealing tax payer money from the people they don't want to patronize there business that's why they are $15 million short on taxes every year. This is what they do go to the urban area rape the city of tax money when the schools, neighborhood, are suffering we give billionaires our tax dollars when they can afford to pay for what they want to build. I predict that Goliath will get slayed in the near future.
