Local Attorney/Prosecutor Releases True Kansas City Crime Stories Book

“His Name Was Murder” - Real Kansas City Crime Stories available on March 18, 2016

This book tells the story of five different homicide cases from Kansas City, Missouri as told by the prosecutor who handled the cases himself, Phil LeVota. Five different stories are the five chapters that tell the different tale of true crime from the criminal's perspective, the police perspective, and the prosecution perspective. The Jackson County Prosecutor's office and the Kansas City Police department were involved in obtaining justice for the victims. From the horrific crime where the murderer made his son help him cut off the victim's head & hands to the robbery/assault of the sweet neighborhood grandmother, this is a "hard to put down" book that keeps you wanting more.

The book is now available online on Amazon and Kindle and at local bookstores at Prospero’s 1800 West 39th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64111 and Reader’s World, 983 NE Rice Rd., Lees Summit, Missouri and soon at UMKC and Barnes & Noble.

  1. T, finished chapter 2 and here is what I like about the book so far. He seems to take the fight against crime personally rather that politically. The writing shows a lot of empathy with victims and that's important for a prosecutor working the case.

Take that stance against our current prosecutor who is accused by many of playing politics in her prosecution.

  16. He was forced to leave the pros office because he was so unethical he caused the loss of a double murder case. That man went on to kill again.

  17. 6:34, I worked with LeVota in the prosecutor's office. He never even lost a case let alone had anything to do with a double homicide problem. Sounds like you are a hater.

  18. Really? Senator Paul had his issues in Jeff City but trying to tie Phil to that? Be careful. Phil can sue you. Your IP addresses are not secret when a subpoena comes around. Think about that when you type your hate speech or lies about people. You are only a court filing away from finding out who you are you anonymous person.
