TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! INGRID BURNETT TAKES EARLY LEAD AMONG MISSOURI HD 19 CONTENDERS!!!

Okay, that's Jordan Carver and NOT Ingrid Burnett - A local political lady who has a lot of supporters AND detractors in the local political scene . . .

Anyhoo here's the run down with the help of AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS and because local media stopped covering KC politics . . .

Kansas City Urban Core Election Update - House District 19 Top Contenders

Ingrid Burnett - Probably the most politically connected of all the names coming up for this race. Remember that politicos never retire and most people have forgotten about her School Board misadventures. If Ms. Burnett decides to get into this one, she'll have a great deal of cash and political capital on her side.

Manny Abarca - Powerhouse connections are pushing this rising star of Kansas City politics to run but there could be bigger and better things in store for one of Kansas City's brightest young politicos . . . And because we wrote this line, expect the Star or Pitch to "discover" this young leading local Latino dude with a profile that's long overdue sometime in the next few months.

Cliff McMurray - We respect his IT chops and he's done some great work on Cliff Drive. Mr. McMurray is one of the Northeast nice guys so he'll probably be the 1st to be talked out of this race.

Adam Schieber - He could be a smart candidate and he holds a solid rep for activism in the Northeast. Some pick him as the favorite and he certainly has the ear of the new gentry but maybe not the connections to leading Missouri Democrats.

  1. Do men not run for anything that counts anymore or are people with any kind of balls just not the in thing right now? Talk about your mommy state.

  2. If one is a true masochist, would it not be simpler -- and less painful -- to simply shove a fork through your palm rather than to serve in this GOPNutty Legislature?

I know, I know: Somebody has to be the Democrat representing sanity -- since NO ONE in the Republican Party can be elected without pandering to a Party electorate who believes the Earth is only 6000 years old, fertilized eggs are "people" and that Obama is the Anti-Christ. Oh, and Jesus carries an assault rifle. But, given what they must suffer through, is it really appropriate to call the person who gets sacrificed ...er, elected ... a "winner?" More like "winning" the lottery -- in The Hunger Games!
