Locally, U.S. politicos like Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback have taken on controversy by hoping that immigration crackdowns thwart terrorists . . . And, right now, our pal Craig presents his plan to win this global struggle.

Now we have Paris. Another attack on innocent people that did no harm to anyone in the middle-east. Still they are murdered. More than 100 killed. Why? That's the most important question. Why?
Rarely do we discuss the 'answer' to what the hell do these insane bastards want. We are told to destroy Israel , yet today they have backed off terrorist attacks on Israel. When was the last time Isis or the old Taliban, remember them, shot down an Israeli plane? Maybe cause Israel hits back harder and faster than we do or our Allies. Maybe because Israel really isn't the target. We are.
Do these middle eastern groups that are never ending want us out of the middle east. I'm sure they do, but is that what this is all about? Is it the oil? Which is nearing an all time low in value at 31 dollars a barrel. It was over 100 just over a year ago.
The sad truth is THEY ARE INSANE. I don't think they know what the hell they want. They just hate. They just enjoy killing their 'enemy' which is most everyone including their own people.
Osama Bin Laden, Ayatollah Khomeini, Saddam Hussein, Isis, on and on. We end one group and another pops up the next day. They are like rabid dogs. Insane with no real direction or end to murder and killing innocent people all over the world.
Time to end it and them. Time to get with Israel, our top allies including Russia and end this nightmare. Destroy their leaders at all costs. Sadly send a devastating message by bombing out some of their major cities. Yes innocents will die. They did in Hiroshima. It did help end the war.
Israel is on top of their leaders and where they hide, use them to wipe the enemy out. How can you negotiate with people who strap bombs on their body and commit suicide to kill people eating in a restaurant in England or France or America. They don't even know what they want. It will take a major blow to these out of their mind animals. Show their followers they are not heroes but are leading them to extermination.
Nothing has worked so far. Its been decades and we have even given some of these whacko leaders millions of dollars to help finance them against another terrorist group before they turn on us. Your tax dollars and mine.
If it can be done it must be done now. The big move. Use all our power and our allies to strike. Leave no doubt we are done talking. They are insane. Take them out. Yes take the oil fields as well, divide between all allies. Use Israel to be the watchdog over that area and oil fields. They have had the oil for decades and what have they done to better their nations and their people. Not much.

This is the big picture from Craig. I can see his point but I think Brownback is working closer to home to keep security tight in Kansas. There has to be a major shift in thinking to win against ISIS, there are a lot of people who say they are winning the propaganda war.

ReplyDeleteFirst and foremost, like many people, Mr. Glazer is operating under the assumption that the information which he's received from the media concerning the Paris incident is accurate. This, despite most people being cognizant of the fact that major media routinely lies, distorts, and manipulates purposely.
"Another attack on innocent people that did no harm to anyone in the middle-east." Even if we assume for a moment that the attack victims themselves were not involved directly in French foreign policy or warmongering, one must consider the purpose of terrorism directed at a nation. Those committing the terrorism (they would say fighting back) are attempting to strike their enemy in an effort to change policy. And while we're discussing "terrorism", please consider whether the nation of France was committing terrorism against Syria long before the events in Paris last Friday. Does Mr. Glazer know that President Hollande ordered France's aircraft carrier into position off Syria's coast prior to the Paris attack? Does Mr. Glazer know that Hollande is quickly using the terrorist attack to implement France's version of our Patriot Act, diminishing rights of citizens? Does Mr. Glazer know that on the morning of Friday the 13th, Parisian first-responders were conducting a drill simulating multiple simultaneous terror attacks across the central city?
Perhaps reflecting his knowledge on this topic in general, Mr. Glazer states: "Is it the oil? Which is nearing an all time low in value at 31 dollars a barrel." My friends, if you can buy crude oil for 31.00/barrel, I suggest you buy as much as you can, and then immediately turn around and sell it for the 41.00/barrel which is the current market price. Mr. Glazer doesn't know the oil market, just like he doesn't know this topic which he's writing about.

Besides the extremely vague, ill-defined term "middle eastern groups", what Mr. Glazer wrote could be just as easily applied to American foreign policy advisers and decision makers.

Ayatollah Khomeini = Khomeini was an Iranian Ayatollah, revolutionary, politician, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the leader of the 1979 Iranian Revolution which saw the overthrow of the oppressive Shah Pahlavi. Khomeini died in 1989.

ISIS = Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (also IS/ISIL) is a Wahhabi/Salafi jihadist extremist militant group and self-proclaimed Islamic state and caliphate, which is led by and mainly composed of Sunni Arabs from Iraq and Syria. This group is a rebranding of sorts of al Qaeda. They've received funding/arms/training from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, GCC, the United States, Britain, France, Israel, others. The U.S. and allies use ISIS to fight as their proxy in Syria and elsewhere.
Mr. Glazer writes from a position of historical ignorance, political propaganda indoctrination, and cowboy nationalism.....and that is not a good thing.

Does everyone understand that when we arm the rebels, we have declared war on Syria? We can't have a foreign policy that wishes that Assad would magically go away. All of our actions have led to the destabilization of the region. We essentially replaced a Sunni State with a Shia State. A fact not lost on the Sunni's.
At this point, we have no other choice but to militarily defeat this army (even if that's what they want us to attempt.)

One hesitates to inject a bit of sanity, but...
ReplyDeleteMost of the radical jihadist movements can be traced directly to the Saudi pact with the Wahhabi devil. Wahhabism -- far too odious to be termed medieval -- provided the religious base for Saudi power, and the Saudis let them run the lives of the non-royalty.
Problem is that in the 1970's the Saudis -- for reasons known to themselves, but probably out of fear of increased power secularism in Iran and Iraq and a desire to get their own troublemakers out of the country -- spent a LOT of money proselyting this nutty fringe of Islam throughout the Moslem world, funding schools and mosques. Think half the schools feeding the Taliban in Pakistan.
In Chechnya -- after the collapse of the USSR -- these mosques became centers for radicalization. Today, some villages are empty of young men because they are in Syria! Hence the red-haired ISIS leaders and the understandable desire of Putin to kill them there rather than letting them come back home.
Even in Western Europe, these radical mosques have been underwritten by our dear Saudi allies -- mostly with our money. And make no mistake: When ISIS cuts off heads, it is barbaric. But when the Saudis do it? When they execute "witches and sorcerers"? Stone adulterers? Treat women as chattel -- cover them in mobile tents? Why is that just their "culture"?
HORSESHIT! They are barbarians -- but barbarians sitting on oil. But beneath a thin veneer of courtesy is the poison they have spread that is killing a generation of young Moslem men and women. And, too many innocent victims of all religions and cultures.
