"In response to numerous inquiries, the Jackson County Prosecutor’s office does not have the legal authority to determine issues surrounding certification of juveniles. A mandatory certification hearing is required to take place under Missouri statutes due to the charges that were filed by the juvenile officer. That certification hearing will take place within the Family Court. A hearing date has not yet been set."
This is important for locals to understand as more locals demand justice for Tonya Chamberlain every day.

ReplyDeleteThe juvenile authorities is Jackson County are uncooperative with law enforcement and do everything they can to avoid prosecuting juveniles. I would take the statement by the DA to indicate she has information to believe these animals will not be charged as adults.
