Slumping Kansas City Royals Confront Houston Astros Building Momentum

Kansas City newsies aren't saying it but the Royals are hurting going into the playoffs.

The big trade they made turned out to be a bust for a guy with ongoing elbow problems, one of the biggest stars is out for the year and team seemed to have peaked around the All-Star game.

Still . . . Kansas City's so-called "Blue October" is nothing but an endless season of hype.

Here's a bit of early morning reading for the more studious observers of this town's politics that now applies to pushing hope fore Major League Baseball as well.

This big Autumn distraction is nearly underway as Kansas City totally forgets about all of those kids that were murdered this year and instead focuses on a ball thrown around by millionaires for the benefit of their billionaire corporate bosses.

DO NOT be a spoil sport.

Kansas City wins this one in 4.

You absolutely heard it here first.

  2. Tony,
I'm cool with you Chief bashing, but c'mon now, don't be hating on the Royals. These guys really seem to play with a love for the game, and they represent the city well.

  3. Royals "slumping" but Astros "building momentum"?

    Ahahahahhahahahaha!

You know about as much about sports as you do about government!

  4. Lots of hate from "Ass Tick", but then he likes commenting to himself in the mirror.

  5. This blog sucks. Even cum guy and N-word guy have abandoned ship. The bear picked up his ball and left, only ones left now are Greedo, xalti (both Tony), and Tony commenting back anonymously every time he gets snarked, which is often.

Nope, this blog is like that oasis in the desert. Just a mirage. Thank god for KCC. At least the topics garner intelligent comments at KCC.

  7. Not me of course I write for both. Tony says what he thinks and feels. No the Royals are not down, they just won five in a row to close out the season and regain the American League's best record. They are a very good team. So is Houston. They seem very similar. Either team can win the series. Royals have edge with experience and home field advantage in a 5 game series. I'd say they are even. Royals have earned our respect. The Chiefs as someone mentioned have not.

Again Tony is entitled to his opinion. I think as we all do this post season will be tough. They always are.

  8. I don't think Tony makes anonymous comments. I don't follow baseball, so I won't pretend to be psychic.

This is only one of the reasons I don't care "... a ball thrown around by millionaires for the benefit of their billionaire corporate bosses."

The only way that this really has anything to do with Kansas City is that, for some reason, you paid for the stadium?!

  9. I don't think Tony gives a shit about baseball, I think the Wildman is reading this blog constantly and early in the morning. So it must be good that Wildman is really great, the guy has a lot of style. Maybe he should quit his job selling used cars and move to Hollywood like he always wanted. He can be himself out there!

  11. Glaser believes its an issue of a blogger having an opinion.

    Sorry Craig

Tony is about being a contrarian. And the posts about it being boring and predictable are dead on.

If he was a 4th grader, the other boys would beat him up.

And there's your profile of a blogger.
