SHAME!!! DESPICABLE KANSAS CITY STAR ADVOCATES VIOLENCE ON TWITTER!!!

The downward spiral of Kansas City's newspaper has a great many people feeling angry and raging against the world.

Maybe this is one example . . .

Washington Post: Tuesday, the Kansas City Star’s Lee Judge wrote that Washington Nationals’ outfielder Bryce Harper deserved to be choked by a teammate, effectively advocating for the dugout assault that came at the hands of closer Jonathan Papelbon. The original language, which says “he certainly seems like a young man who needs choking,” went somewhat viral, with various outlets and readers panning the paper for such harsh language.

This media note note touted by a far better publication is important because it clears up a great deal of misconceptions by locals . . . Kansas City Star reporters aren't stalwart defenders of the public trust . . . There are a few good ones and still people doing important work . . . But just like any other place, there are entitled, nasty, angry and bitter content creators.

In fairness, here's the response column from Mr. Judge in which he gloats about page views very much like a blogger.

And so this institution that has been touting their "journalism" amid a failed redesign might want to look in the mirror and realize that they're simply talking trash online just like everybody else.

You decide . . .

  1. You know Tony, you have a list of shit that you don't like out of hand. KC Star, the rail project, the airport.......and I could go on and on.

Then when anything, and I mean anything, presents itself with an opportunity to continue your endless whining, you are on it like a bum on a baloney sandwich.

This from the blogger who panders to (fill in the blank), and your gear shifts from freedom of speech to your judgement of what is in the public trust.

I am sorry you can't get a job and be a productive member of a community. But is venting your continued bitterness really getting you anywhere?

If you didn't like it, you wouldn't read it and participate. I think it gives you a chance to feel better than somebody else because in real life nobody bothers to listen to you.

    Also, there's tits.

8:01 needs to seriously examine what void in his life is filled by visiting this site and commenting as if he's the "voice of reason" around here.

He's truly the sanctimonious blowhard-in-residence at this particular watering hole.

  12. This "Star" you mentioned ... is that still a thing?

My dad used to have something like that thrown in our bushes, then they quit bringing it and fired all the good writers.

    Hmmm.
