KCPD CONFRONT TASER CONTROVERSY!!!

Another lawsuit aimed at Kansas City's finest makes accusations of brutality . . .

Lawsuit Seyz KCPD Officer Used Taser Without Cause

Deets from KSHB:

"Dash cam video shows how a parking violation citation turned into a face-off between the officer and a convenience store clerk."

You decide but in the era of deadly shootings and widespread protests . . . A Taser seems almost quaint to other options.

You decide . . .

  1. Black people, encouraged by the President, the former Attorney General, the media and Democratic politicians, no longer feel the need to obey the law, or, obey commands from a police officer.

This interaction is symptomatic of the ongoing destruction of the Rule of Law, encouraged by Democrats courting the black vote, who use the violence which ensues when blacks resist what, it our recent past, were demands from the police to comply.

Blacks are encouraged to push the envelope EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY ENCOUNTER THE POLICE. This law suit is just another in the thousands of law suits, totally without merit, that will find a sympathetic black jury, which will in turn, take tax payer money and in a vicious circle, reinforce this criminal behavior.

Prima facie is the dead bodies in the streets of many, including this city, urban centers where police no longer enforce the law because of frivolous law suits exactly like this one. If the fuckin cop tells you to turn around and put your hands behind your back, then do it. If he wants to see some ID give him your drivers license, unless, of course, you are black and now have carte blanche to break the law and then sue for damages. The fucking puke should be convicted of resisting arrest, but will, in Liberal Democratic KC, get a settlement.

    Disgusting.

This city, like Detroit, St. Louis, Selma, Birmingham and dozens of dozens of other American cites will desolve into entropy and chaos while Democrats scream for more Rec Centers, midnight basketball and handouts to the violent, indolent and Liberal Blacks in the streets, that are in reality, the Fascist, Brown Shirts whose violence in the enforcement arm of the Democratic Party.

  4. Don't mess with a policeman, because some of them are dangerous psychopaths.

  5. ^^^^^^^^^ Don't listen to assholes they are all "Psychopaths"

Byron, fits the bill there; a personality disorder characterized by enduring antisocial behavior, diminished empathy and remorse, and disinhibited or bold behavior.

  6. Oh don't worry. The KCPD will settle and this ass hole will have 600k in the bank.

  7. I would have tazed his grandmother too. She probably raised him anyway

  8. When are people going to get it, whether you agree with the officer or not comply with their orders. You can go to court later and argue your case. He lawfully requested the guys id so he could write a ticket and the guy failed to comply......lawful order!

4:34 has it right, but I'll take it a step further, this has been a trend for 30+ years and it continues to grow, the officer told this douche several times that he was under arrest and warned him repeatedly he would be tazed.

Cops are criticized for hitting a suspect after a suspect hits the officer, this cop is trying not to go hands on and he did the right thing.

  9. 6:43 The police have no right in the State of Missouri to demand to see identification. Citizens are only required to provide name and date of birth. You must be a police officer with your utter lack of understanding for the laws of Missouri. Tell your fellow officers, "You don't get to make up laws!"

  10. Well 7:17 the thug wasn't even doing that. he was interfering with a law enforcement officer doing his job.

    ReplyDelete
  11. 7:17 you are a dumb ass, the police do have the right to ask for identification for a violation. The only way for a cop to verify the name and date of birth is to see a legal government issued document such as a drivers license or state i.d. otherwise someone gives the wrong name and date of birth.

And I'm not a cop and you should go back and check you legal facts, you're as big a douche as the guy who got tazed and exactly people like you giving bad information that gets people arrested or tazed when it doesn't have to come to that.

  12. This is a tough on for me. I certainly agree that the taser is touted as a lesser means of force. However, there are two serious problems. First, there have been hundreds of deaths resulting from taser use. Second, there are also hundreds of documented cases where the taser was used as punishment and not where use of force should have applied. There is no mandate under any state or federal law that legally authorizes a police officer to physically punish anyone and the laws on use of force are pretty clear. A department policy may authorize the use of a taser, but that policy is not the law. In too many cases policies have been writen that far exceed the use of force provision authorized under law and this seems to be a trend that is costing officers careers and local governments millions. No officer is required to take a beating from anyone, but no officer is authorized to assault anyone under any laws in this country.

  13. 7:35, check out casenet.org. Mr. Words was no stranger to the Jackson County court system. He's lucky all he got was a couple of pin pricks and a rash. Dumbass should have not parked like an idiot in the first place, and followed instructions. I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.

  14. I watched COPS last Saturday and there was this long car chase and the guy driving wrecked and crashed the car. They threw him down on the ground and handcuffed him. (White guy) Then he was mouthing off at the officers, they tased him, he kept it up they tased him again and finally they did it a third time because the guy was being a real dick head.
I was laughing my ass off man the guy was having an exceptionally bad day.

  15. PD HATERS SPIN YET ANOTHER INTERACTION AGAINST OFFICERS.

So, patrol sees car not legally parked. Scenarios can vary--abandoned, stolen, a medical problem, crime in progress, or simply an inconsiderate jerk blocking the sidewalk? How many citizens grant PD is primarily concerned for citizen well-being first and foremost? He looks into the car to determine the service required. Yes, he may have considered an unfortunate medical emergency/silver alert to be initialized gauged by improper parking. Tags have to be 'run' to get 'alerts' from local/national data bureaus. Instead, he soon determines the "chip on shoulder" guy wants to go "make my day" and tie up resources unnecessarily.

"CHIP" MIGHT HAVE MADE AN IMMEDIATE FRIENDLY GREETING TO PATROL WITH A SIMPLE APOLOGY WHILE OFFERING TO PARK LEGALLY AND IS EITHER WARNED OR DOWN $50 FOR HIS LESSON.

  16. Like most fights two jerks met. If either had acted like a decent person there would have been no problems. Certainly the black man was out of line but the cop could have stuck the ticket on the windshield and left.

  17. 1:05 Didn't we just see pictures of police cars blocking sidewalks on TKC?

  18. 7:33 pm. I am sorry that you were unable to attend Law School, it is truly unfortunate. Let me help you with Missouri State Law,

    RSMO 84.710

"They shall also have the power to stop any person abroad whenever there is reasonable ground to suspect that he is committing, has committed or is about to commit a crime and demand of him his name, address, business abroad and whither he is going."

In fairness, I was wrong myself, I thought you must provide Date of Birth, but in Missouri you only have to provide the less onerouse and less identifying address in lieu of date of birth.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Proving whether the info I gave is correct is the burden of the government, not me. A citizen of the State of Missouri has no obligation to provide any physical form of identification, less fingerprints during the booking process.

    ReplyDelete
  20. And cops wonder why nobody has any respect for them.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Speak for yourself, hater. The vast majority of PD are respected for their service to public good. Communities and individual citizens vary just as police departments and each officer is unique--the good with the bad.
As a mom/grandparent who was taught to abide laws and to have polite interaction with PD conflict is not an issue. Our family instructs the younger members to do the same. Bail and legal fees are expensive. Criminal records often suck.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The cop could have just told the guy to move the car. Give a ticket? Was all this trouble necessary for a fifty dollar ticket? I have met cops who gave me shit for nothing. I was not in violation of the law. They just wanted to jerk me around.

    ReplyDelete
  23. This is ridiculous--this cop needs training on how to interact with citizens. None of this was necessary. The cop trying to justify his self by saying the man took a defensive position is bull shit. The cop was looking for a fight.
