Kansas City Stoner Idea Fact Check: Smuggling Colorado Weed Will Not Work

Only posting this story of the ongoing Kansas weed crackdown because the nation's weed laws are no longer consistent and don't really make sense . . . Therefore stoners get carried away with themselves and their plans to flood the market with sweet Colorado grass despite the fact that Kansas City is already saturated with a great deal of marijuana for anybody who wants it.

Fox4KC: Colorado pilot sentenced to federal prison after flying plane loaded with marijuana into Kansas airport

Deets:

"According to a release from the Office of United States Attorney Barry Grissom, Kenneth E. Weaver, 59, of Denver, Colo., pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. In his plea, he admitted that on July 11, 2014, he flew his plane into the Iola airport carrying 207 pounds of medical grade marijuana.

In addition, the Drug Enforcement Administration administratively forfeited his plane, a 1979 Israel Aircraft Industries Model 1124 jet, $457,580 in cash, a 2007 Bentley Continental and a 2010 BMW X."

Okay, so I guess the weed trade was working out for him right until the moment he was caught.

  2. Civil asset forfeiture at its finest. The police don't care about the weed, or any drugs. They care about the plane, the bentley, the BMW, and the half a million in cash.

Don't be a criminal, the GOVERNMENT HATES COMPETITION.

  3. The kicker will be when the Feds turn around and sell this weed. Who is the largest drug trafficker in the United States? The US Government.

Who is the largest importer of cocaine in the United States? The US Government.

Are you starting to get the point? The US Government is the Wal Mart of the drug trade, they are the Alpha Dog.

  4. Kind of hard for me to have sympathy for some clown who wants to stiff people for over a hundred dollars for a quantity of product that costs a couple of bucks to produce and deliver. Doesn't matter if it is legal pot or illegal pot the racket radiates the kind of inflation that only comes with organized crime.
