DeleteNo surprise here. The Plaza hasn't been the same for at least 10-15 years, and the past few years have been a real mess. People often forget that the Plaza was originally intended as a shopping area for residents of the country club district. Instead it's become a tourist trap with lots of lookey-loos that don't actually $pend much. And then when the negro element took hold, anyone with half a brain should have seen the writing on the wall. No matter who buys and/or gets involved, the Plaza that many of us loved and remember is gone for good.

I see little positive happening in Kansas City and that would also mean the entire metro area. Crime is just too high and the corruption in business and city government so widespread that the metro will not be seen as a good place to invest.

It was never intended to be a hangout for the great unwashed public like it's become. Going back to a private crowd would be great. Private is always best; look at country clubs. One of the few places that can still be lily white, safe and problem free.
