COMEDY WEEKEND AT STANFORDS
Congrats to our ROYALS for winning the Division Title for the first time since 1985. Hey we won it all that year. Lots going on at end of summer. Plaza Art Fair and baseball. Another fun thing this weekend is our comedy club,restaurant and night life at Stanford and Sons. We just completed year one at our new location 119th and Metcalf. Rosana Square.
This weekend its Grammy nominated Basile. 'Basile' has been to KC once before when he did a theater show at Overland Park Civic Center. He is America's number one Greek Comic. Yes he is American, hah. Basile was 'Jimmy The Greek' on ESPN AND HBO, The Tonight Show, tv special 'Growing Up Greek In America' and Comedy Central. He went from college linebacker at Purdue to voice of Bullwinkle at Universal and onto stand up comedy.
Stanfords weekends are more than comedy. Great restaurant and even a nightclub that does karaoke Friday and Saturday from 930pm til 2am. Live music on our outdoor patio from 9pm til midnight.
Next week one of the best shows of the year: Michael Winslow star of all 7 Police Academy Films the man of 1000 noises and voices. Winslow started in Cheech and Chong movies and just did Sharknado.

ReplyDeleteSo Michael was in a few movies but he is still very small time or he wouldn't be doing Stanfords. Plus if you call him your best show of the year it further proves your sliding down hill, the glory days are over, piss on the fire call in the dogs Stanford Comedy Club is about to be history. The place sucks so bad even a crap reality show never made it past a waste of many peoples time.

how come Stanford's never has people doing Sunday evening shows? I'd love to go but it just doesn't work out to go on Saturday sometimes.
