The Kansas City Summer Of Stanfords

TKC NOTE: Craig talks about his special guest this weekend . . .

STANFORDS HAS MISTER HOT THIS WEEKEND. JULIAN McCULLOUGH.

Julian McCullough is on everything these days. His run began with the hit tv show "The Guy Code." He then roasted James Franco on Comedy Central, co starred on the hit series "Whitney" with Whitney Cummings and has been a regular on the 'new' Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon. He took time out to do Conan and a Comedy Central Special.

The ladies man and comic will be doing his stand up at Stanford and Sons this weekend. Both Friday and Saturday nights. The new Stanfords at 119th and Metcalf, Rosana Square. McCullough is part of that new wave of young comedy stars who of course get their own tv series. Yes Julian gets his this fall. He joins other new wave comedy stars like TJ Miller, Amy Schmer and our own Nikki Glaser on the hot sheet. In fact yes Julian is now on 'Inside Amy Schumer' as well. Schumer and TJ Miller head up the big comedy concert sold out at Star Light at the end of August. Miller star in HBO's Silicon Valley and his movie "Big Hero Six" won the academy award this year. TJ also is co lead in the huge new film 'Dead Pool' with Ryan Reynolds. And yes his first headline gig was Stanford and Sons at Legends back in 2008.

Stanfords has a strong line up coming up to end the summer.
Next week its 'American Idol' host Brian Dunkleman, then Michelle Wolf who stars and writes/produces the new Seth Meyers tv show. September brings back 'Police Academy' star Michael Winslow and always popular child star Marc Price from 'Family Ties.' Maybe most interesting Stanfords will debut to KC 'Split Man' the comedy magician who yes splits himself in half on stage and does his thing, ala 'Amazing Johnathan'. Split Man has 30 million viewers online of his act. Damn.

The new Stanfords has added live music to its patio and a dance club bar that does Karaoke on weekends til 1 am. So its a full entertainment center now with a great dinning room for eats before you see the shows. Nice. A one stop entertainment shop. Call for tix 9134007500 or online dinner and show stanfordscomedyclub.com. See ya there.

  5. Staying home and jacking off is more fulfilling than a night at Stanfords watching a nobody while a old man and his hair piece parades around like he's a stud instead of the wanna be he isn't.

  7. Julian is top shelf and one of the most in demand comics out there. By the way hater the line up that comes to kc is mentioned in Glazers thread. And Julian was in it last year in Texas. I was there. A=hole

  8. Must have missed him in 2008 at Ledgends (Niggerville West) and will miss him in 2015 at 119th (soon to be Niggerville JoCo). I agree with 8:29. Jacking off to a old pic of Candice Swanepoel is more rewarding. Channeling my inner Tony Botello.

  9. The guy is so beautiful and so intelligent, and so funny and is now making the rounds of the talk shows. His real life is nothing.

  10. Saw his show Glaz. Love the new spot, live music and food. The comic was strong.

  11. Holy crap, that loser family is somehow still in business? I guess they moved it to OP since everyone else outside of suburbanland already knows what overpriced food and drinks and crappy E-list comics they serve up. So many other classy places in KC to go to; stay away from this relocated shithole.
