SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY POLICE CHASE GUNFIGHT LEAVES BABY HIT BY BULLET!!!

During a stop earlier today a Kansas City police officer was hit by a car and fired upon by suspects.

Here's the rundown on a Kansas City police chase wherein an infant was hit by gunfire from an officer . . .

Statement From KCPD: "Medical personnel at the hospital where the infant was transported notified police that the infant had an injury to the toe that appears to be the result of a gunshot. It is horrible that an infant was involved and injured in this incident. No child ever should be placed in such a dangerous situation."

Deets:

At about 9 a.m. today, a KCPD officer attempted to stop a maroon Dodge SUV with darkly tinted windows near 31st Street and 71 Highway for a traffic violation. The vehicle refused to stop, and the officer did not pursue it. At about 9:30 a.m., that same officer was following up on information received from a citizen and located the SUV in the 5200 block of Wabash. The vehicle then drove at the officer - who was on a motorcycle - and struck him. The officer fired his gun into the vehicle in an attempt to protect himself.

The vehicle fled and was later observed in the area of 55th and Swope, where the driver almost hit another officer's vehicle head-on. Officers then lost sight of the vehicle and found it unoccupied in the 5700 block of Jackson soon thereafter. Officers located a man and two infants near the vehicle. A second man was seen walking away from the vehicle. Officers were able to find the second man. Both were detained. Officers then discovered one of the infants had a foot injury. The baby was immediately transported to a local hospital. The officer suffered only minor injuries as a result of being struck by the SUV.

Investigation is ongoing. Anyone who has any information about the incident is urged to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).

    1. MSM does that BS to sensationalize. They hope to grab viewer attention and SELL for advertisers. It's insulting and ridiculously wasteful of viewers' time the way they say MORE IN A MINUTE/BACK WITH THE STORY FOLLOWING THE BREAK/WE'LL HAVE MORE FOR THE LATER BROADCAST/SEE WHAT "SO-AND-SO" WILL BRING IN THE FOLLOW-UP TONIGHT . . . all with a million ads in between too many BACK IN A MINUTEs ....

RARELY do I watch the full Wash.Rinse.Repeat. local news more than ten minutes a day. Weather, scores, and anything important is on the handy phone!

  11. Why was the cop shooting at the car AS IT WAS LEAVING? I get shooting while the car if it's coming at you but not as it's leaving the scene. That puts innocent bystanders lives in jeopardy.

  12. Shooting into a vehicle indiscriminately is unacceptable. The police cannot assume that everyone in the car is a criminal.

Would it be am appropriate response to a hostage situation to drop a bomb on the whole building? Yes you get the criminal but you also kill the hostages. The officer should be attested and tried for willful negligence

    2. I'm sure he had time to stop and fully evaluate the situation like everyone is after the fact, before the car that was ramming his motorcycle.

The Supreme Court has said one must look at it as a tense, uncertain and rapidly evolving situation and that 20/20 hindsight cannot be used

  19. LOCAL TV NEWS UTTERLY FAILS!!!!!!!

KMBC: "Officers responding to the scene located a man and two infants near the vehicle. A second man was seen walking away from the vehicle."
We here at KMBC are not implying that the adult human beings located at the scene of the crime had anything whatsoever to do with this incident, nor are we going to describe these human beings for readers.

FOX4: "..police have two men in custody,"
The news division of FOX4 will only report that "two men" are in custody.....two random undescribed men who've been taken into custody for something....could be jaywalking!
FOX4 Working For You!....not really, but we're keeping the slogan.

KSHB: "At least two people have been arrested in connection with striking a Kansas City police officer riding a motorcycle."
"The driver was taken into custody not far away near the intersection of 58th Street and Jackson. A second suspect was also detained."
KSHB's policy is to not describe suspects beyond the generic "people" term...as we fear being accused of gender/race/ethnic/religious/sexual orientation/political affiliation/other incorrectness. Did I mention we have dogs on the show today?

  20. Another trigger happy policeman??? Always the same standard statement “striking a Kansas City police officer riding a motorcycle.” Funny there are never photos of the damaged police vehicle or injuries suffered.

  21. This should serve as a reminder to KCMO residents that if you commit a minor traffic violation with a child in the car. Your child could be shot.

  22. Will be interesting to see what disciplinary action will be taken against the policeman. The policeman involved used very poor judgment & it is doubtful that he should be on the street with a weapon.

  24. Well lets not blame the piece of shit that put this baby in the situation, lets blame the Officer who was doing his job.

Lets not blame the Piece of shit who ran from Police, not once, but TWICE and rammed a Police officer's motorcycle.

BLACK LIVES MATTER my ass, what about the countless innocent children who are killed in drive by shootings? OH well it doesn't fit our LIBERAL APOLOGIST NARRATIVE so we will just exclude it

    BLAME THE POLICE!!!
What a bunch of fucking SHEEP

  25. If a car is driving towards you, does shooting it suddenly stop the car? Does a 150 grain bullet stop a 3000lb vehicle at 20 mph? The logic of shooting a car to stop it fails me, but then again I'd move instead of trying to invent some new laws of nature.

  27. I am very proud to be a "racist hater", as it's called on here and other places. Oh yes, I hate, detest, avoid, NIGGERS completely and thoroughly. It's stories like this, and the others that appear daily, that reinforce this view. NIGGERS are a cancerous tumor on society and sooner or later, will have to be removed. While I might not live to see it, it will happen..

  28. If someone is willing to rundown a police officer, what makes you think 1237 that he gives a damn about hurting innocent bystanders? You are incapable of ever seeing the bigger picture, when it comes to stop letting criminals do what they want.
I want cops on the streets, in America, that takeout this kind of trash and arent afraid to do their jobs because of the "twilight zone" world we're living in today!
Get these animals off the streets so they dont end up hurting innocent people and other families, while committing their next violent crime spree, when police had the chance!
