KCUR and now KCTV5 are the only two local media outlets to pick up on this shameful trend that is part of a LGBT STATE OF EMERGENCY focused on this town and out of the spotlight of local media who would rather give more attention to baseball or puppy stories: Two transgender killings in Kansas City draws national attention
Quite wreckless reporting really and drawing attention where it's not needed. One murder was over sex work and the other over an argument over a pair of shoes I believe in an apartment, apparently with an acquaintance. But okay, let's tally these up as hate crimes..... Silly. The facts of the stories don't add up to hate crimes, sorry. And in one local HS, we have a transgender up for homecoming queen. But nothing grabs attention like a little contreversy!
