TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! GUNFIRE REPORTED OUTSIDE KANSAS CITY STARLIGHT THEATER LAST NIGHT!!!
Last night the popping of Kansas City gunfire outside the Starlight was much more captivating than Mary Poppins onstage.
To wit . . .
WITNESS TELL TKC THE CROWD OUTSIDE OF KANSAS CITY STARLIGHT THEATER WAS STARTLED BY A SPATE OF GUNFIRE LAST NIGHT!!!
Here's the word:
"There were to sets of gunfire, on series of 7 shots and another set of 5. The crowd heard it, some panicked but everybody was in a rush to get out of there and get out of the way."
This reminds us that not so long ago an innocent woman was killed by random gunfire while leaving the Starlight and the memory of this tragedy still resonates with patrons of the Swope Park Theater.
And so . . . While politicos and authorities make a big show of lower crime numbers from last year, a show of constant violence on Kansas City streets and gather places tells a different story.

ReplyDeleteThere are shootings every night in Swope Park. The shootings near Starlight should concern people, I tell all of my friends DO NOT go there by any means. It is a dangerous place and there's no use going there just to get shot. I love outdoor concerts just as much as the next person but the police are too short handed to look out for the ticket holders.

It's something that the Mayor should make a priority if he really wants people to visit the east side. We need to work on safety not all of this other junk.

It seems like knowing about this stuff would help keep more people safe. ReplyDeleteSuuure you did 11:11pm. And as you walked away, I passed the same workers and the one that answered you told the others "I told him I didn't hear gunfire, and you said it's probably that hoax again. Next time let's switch and I'll say the second part, okay?"
