A surprisingly strong pronouncement for Gov. Jay that should raise the ire of a few holdouts who have still refused to honor the Supreme Court ruling.

3:24: It was 70%, and it's irrelevant. The Supreme Court did its job and disallowed what James Madison and others termed the tyranny of the majority in this case. Just as they did with Loving v. Virginia, Brown v. Board of Education, etc.
ReplyDeleteI realize it's a tough concept, but you don't let the majority vote on whether a minority is entitled to equal rights. Otherwise someone might decide to deny voting rights to the ignorant, and, well... .
