What started out as a joke is now very much a reality. DONALD TRUMP MAY WELL BE UNBEATABLE for the PRESIDENCY OF THE UNITED STATES. No kidding. His lead in the GOP goes up daily, now 25% of the Republican voters want THE DONALD. Only 10% like the man everyone felt would run against Hilary Clinton, Jeb Bush. WOW.
Why Trump? He is a billionaire and a huge star. However he has a man of the people type style. He speaks from the hip, no preplanned speeches for the most part. He embraces the attacks of the media which will be daily and constent. He gets 95% of tv coverage over the other candidates who most voters never heard of!. Wow.
Even Trumps misquotes are now working for him. He attacked Mexico for sending us illegals. 'Drug dealers and criminals, even rapists' Yep. Today he leads in all Latino voters trust 35%. Yep. Trump talks about managing his people, his ups and downs. People are sick of leaders who can't get much done. The Donald would be the first modern true businessman President. Maybe its just what we need.
Hilary looked unbeatable. Not now. She is looking old and worn out. Now under attack for being dishonest. What will the media think of next. Her 'online' secret emails...maybe she is a spy! Uh no....
I'm saying it now. Donald Trump may be unbeatable. It will take a full on Bill Clinton attack to defeat Trump. Bill can't run. So looks Donald to me. Very early, but its building and fast. President Trump. Sounds like a hotel. OH. Likely will be, huh. Only in America.

Polls are already showing Trump can beat damn near any Democrat with his checkbook tied behind his back. Even if Trump's campaign is a ruse all he has to do is stay in long enough to break Hillbilary's bank and then step aside. ReplyDeleteevery so often a candidate comes along from one party or another, or no party affiliation at all, and actually makes sense. talks plain. relates to the common man in most of us. seems honest, trustworthy. a no-BS, "i want America great again, i'm smart with the money, and i'll do the right things' kind of guy. and most of the time that candidate never makes it out of the primaries to win the nomination, or if an independent like Perot, never wins the electoral count and gets to the White House.
not since before the Civil War has any independent third-party candidate won office and those that did were either Founding Fathers or the parties were slight offshoots of the democrats and republicans, if not just renamed (Lincoln for example was a republican, but ran under the National Union Party,(R), in 1864.)
my point being, i don't care how far Trump moves up in the polls, it would be a freakin' miracle if he managed to win the party's nomination. and if he splits and runs as an independent, he'll meet the same fate as the rest of them, getting nowhere near the electoral votes he would need. he might carry one state.
but if he DID win the nomination, he would be awfully tough to beat, esp with the right running mate who could lend him credibility in Congress, Defense and Foreign Affairs. - miket.
