Kansas City Congressman Cleaver: Prez Obama Hasn't Improved Race Relations

Turns out the newsies in Kansas City read The Hill, which reported this story last week. Today bloggers for Dead Tree Media cover it: Emanuel Cleaver: President Barack Obama has not improved race relations

Comments

  1. President "If I Had A Son" Obama says that whites are born with racist DNA in our veins.

He is the most divisive, vitriolic, corrosive Socialist, race baiting politician in history. He sees everything in America through the lens of racial discrimination and white racism. This, from a black man elected to the highest office in the land by whites.

The chokehold we should worry about in America, is not effected by our police departments on innocent black choir boys helping old ladies across the street, no, the chokehold we should worry about, is the Liberal Media's ability to redirect common sense and the national narrative to an Orwellian "Freedom is slavery" degree that convinces people that blacks are under attack from whites and that there are no opportunities for minorities.

    Bullshit.

50 years of Civil Rights, Affirmative Action, Special Set Asides, government handouts by the trillions with NO EXPIRATION DATE, paid for by the white middle class.

This president has set back race relations in the US by 40 years.

He isa shill for a specious, pernicious narrative that insists the American sin of slavery can NEVER be assuaged and will be a loadstone in perpetuity for all whites.

Here are some slavery FACTS they don't want yo to know.

  2. Nor has Cleaver. When you have a President that forgets that he is HALF white, and only admits to his "blackness", many take offense to that. While many Republican voters cringe at the mention of George W. Bush, now most white Democratic voter cringe at the sight/sound of Obama.

Obama has set race relations back 50 years in this country. As for Cleaver. It's just the Reverend grit that is ruining the religious blacks in this country. The likes of Al Sharpton, the Reverend Racist Wright in Chicago, the Reverend Jesse Jackson...... hell the bear should change color and call himself Reverend Black Bear and start a crowd fund site.

No, Cleaver should STFU about anything race related and pay his bills.

  3. What did he expect? Obama has increased the number of people that dependent on others, the only result of that is resentment.
I remember years ago on the news some reporter went to the house of an able bodied young women who was on welfare, she was asked what to tell all the people who paid the taxes that she was living off of. She said, tell them to keep paying, then slammed the door.
Maybe after all these decades it took Obama to show people in this country that tolerating lazy ness has reached its end.

  7. Cleaver's just a part of the civil rights industrial complex, all of who have greatly benefited personally financially by endlessly perpetuating the fiction that members of the black community are pitiful helpless folks who can even survive only by doing what they're told by the self-appointed "leaders" who are uniquely able to protect them from all the nastiness of the big cruel world.
And the establishment stays intimidated by these fools, finances them generously, folds to their every demand, and then wonders why the communities continue to deteriorate and fail.
By any measure, KCMO's east side is much worse than it was ten or twenty years ago, and yet the same status quo crowd demands that the same things be done, the same way, by the same people over and over again.
Cleaver and so many other of these folks could do so much good by helping to turn the page, but they lack the imagination, courage, and will, and the status quo is just too good for them, even as thousands of other regular folks suffer.
    Shameful.
