An update from a story from yesterday afternoon features more testimony and description of a BRUTAL recent attack on the Plaza.
Fox4: Women say they were assaulted, attacked with piece of concrete near Plaza during car robbery
Here's the description of a daylight beatdown that could have turned deadly.
She said she didn’t think anything when a woman walked up to her and her friend Jamie asking for a cell phone and gas money. But it quickly became clear, there was something bad about to happen.
“I heard Jamie scream and her hair I saw her head yank back. They grabbed her hair and they started punching her. She hit the floor really hard,” Samantha said. “They were kicking her, punching her.”
That’s when Samantha says another woman picked up a large piece of concrete and threw it at her, knocking her to the ground.
“I saw something in her hand and thought that’s and odd thing. Then once it hit me, I realized I was being attacked,” she said.

ReplyDeleteSly and his supporters and council endorsements are running on the claim that, although he is a pitiful helpless mayor in a manager/council form of government and when things aren't going well it's really all the Board of Police Commissioners' fault, in this particular case, he is personally responsible and will take all the credit for a reduction in crime, violence, and homicides.
So please minimize any mention of what's actually going on throughout the city until June 24, even though no one is actually running against Sly for mayor.
We all feel much safer already.

ReplyDeleteIf you go to any real city's entertainment district and it is covered in cops. (go to bourbon in NOLA sometimes and look at all the undercovers- you can spot them with the stainless steel ball necklaces with badges tucked into their t-shirts)
