DEAD TREE MEDIA TRENDING: FAILING KANSAS CITY STAR MOSTLY PUBLISHING ANTI-BROWNBACK SCREEDS!!!

This blog community doesn't like Gov. Brownback or any other politico for that matter . . .

Don't consider this a defense of some failing politico who has more than his share of GOP enemies as well.

Also, real news is highlighting serious arguments against Gov. Brownback policy . . .

Local Inner City Push Back: KCK schools fire back against gov. on funding

Moving Foward: Kansas Senate GOP leaders outline new tax plan to fix budget

New York Times . . . To Fill Budget Hole, Kansas G.O.P. Considers the Unthinkable: Raising Taxes

Report On Fewer Services: State employees could be furloughed in Kansas

Meanwhile . . .

KANSAS CITY DEAD TREE MEDIA CONTINUES AN UNPRECEDENTED VENDETTA AGAINST GOV. BROWNBACK WITH ABSOLUTELY NO COUNTER POINT SUPPORTING FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE POLICY!!!

The editorial staff is one the war path and what's worse is that readers have to provide their social security number in order to politely retort . . . And then still face inevitable deletion.

Just a few recent examples over the past 72 hours:

The latest slap from Yael: Meet Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, Mr. Irrelevant?

Imaginary Dead Tree Numbers: Early analysis shows that Gov. Sam Brownback’s plan would raise taxes for 40 percent of low- and middle-income Kansans

Scandal That Nobody Cares About: Tax-cut fiasco haunts Sam Brownback and Kansas lawmakers as chaotic session nears end

100 Costly Days (And Counting) And Still Nobody Cares: Kansas lawmakers, Gov. Sam Brownback stagger toward shameful end to session

Creative Writing Attempt: Put Gov. Sam Brownback in ‘jail,’ plus other money-making schemes in Kansas

And here's the deal . . .

WITH AN EDITORIAL PAGE OF A MAJOR METRO NEWSPAPER SO OBVIOUSLY OVERLOADED AGAINST FUMBLING KANSAS GOV. BROWNBACK, HE STILL MANAGED TO BEAT THE DEMOCRAT EMPTY SUIT!!!

When we talk about influence and/or objectivity . . . People decry the state of bloggy opinion journalism but seldom mention that mainstream newspapers are no better but really just a legacy of machine politics that most people ignore . . . Without any decent eye candy.

  2. Yeah, but you're still here, same can't be said with the newspaper.

  3. KCMO is a lot worse off than Kansas but according to the Star everything is fine in their city. But the Failing Star is leading the charge for more failure in KCMO. Kansas will eventually raise taxes and will be fine but KCMO will probably follow the Detroit fix.

  4. Wait till Sly James and crews debt bomb explodes. It will make Kansas's fiscal problems look like a surplus.

  5. How about the Star's Web traffic, 8:37? Care to compare that to Tony's?

    I didn't think so.

But typical of Tony and his deep thinking fan boys, you ignore their increase in Web readership, look only at the decline in home delivery, then brilliantly assume it's unique to the Kansas City Star.

Meanwhile, Tony has done absolutely nothing to update his own blog since the day he opened it. Links to work done by real reporters with a lot of T&A mixed in, and absolutely nothing but bitching about anything to do with KC, which lead to his second most hilarious "prediction" that Rockfest 2015 would be such a disaster that it would be the last Rockfest.

Kinda reminds me of that critically ill polar bear, knocking on heaven's door just any time now.

  6. Thirty million page views a month versus a few thousand? it's not much of a contest.

  7. How did Rockfest go, Tony? You were all over it BEFORE it happened, predicting all kinds of disasters.

Guess I'll have to read the "deadtree media" to find out.

The Star screens comments for content and opinion that does not follow the Liberal Narrative. That, in addition to being no more than a shill, for Progressive, Socialistic, economy killing ideology, makes Tony's Kansas City a must read for ANYONE, who actually gives a fuck about EVERYONE'S opinion and stories that don't cover the failure of those same Progressive, Socialistic, economy killing ideas in a patina of emotional, feel good rhetoric, disguised to cover up that same failure.

I am sure, we all would love to seeSteve Rose, Lewis Duigiud and Jenee post some articles and opinion on TKC, where the real time give and take, might be pretty rough and tumble, but the "No holds barred" commentary scares off those folks, who only want to hear their own side of the story, and listen to the reinforcement of the opinions voiced, in a vehicle, that tolerates only Liberal thought.

So, the Star, is Tony's biggest de facto supporter. If you read the articles he posts from the Star and have an opinion that runs contrary to the usual leftist liberal cant, then you can read it here and post your thoughts on a blog, that lets us all enjoy our 1st Amendment rights. Something the K C Star is too afraid to do.

By the way, don't whine to me about decorum and racial slurs, there is enough violence in the streets of KC, that you would think, harsh language would be the least of the newspaper of record's concerns.

In my opinion, the main reason that urban centers and cities all over the US continue to fail, is the absolute insistence to face problems head on and designate responsibility for failure so that changes can be made.

Until major media outlets, admit there is an enormous problem with violence in our cities and place the blame, realistically and squarely where it belongs, then the usual politicians will be elected again and again with the same failed strategies again and again and big cities all over the US will fail again and again.

facing and admitting the truth about your problems is the first step in solving those problems. The Liberal Media will never do that.

    Hence, TKC.

    It is what it is.

  10. Tony, quit commenting on your own blog. How many individual users do you have per week, versus the same 200 that hit ya 6 times a day?

    ReplyDelete
  11. The supporters of the Star will be talking about how well they're doing right until their business folds. Meanwhile, I like this blog for all the reasons that Chuck pointed out and a few more. Get a grip haters, TKC has more readers who participate than you.

  12. I like the people who hate TKC but read it every day and all day.

  13. Tony, you really are an idiot.

The only people worse are some of your racist, even more ignorant readers and commenters
