IN AN ALL TOO FAMILIAR TWIST THAT NOW PUTS MISSOURI DEMOCRATS IN KC UNDER FIRE . . . NOW INTERN SCANDAL AND SALACIOUS QUESTIONS HIT MISSOURI STATE SEN. PAUL LEVOTA'S OFFICE . . . HE INSISTS THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM REPORTED TO HIM!!!
Of course this reminds us of Former Speaker Diehl's saucy texts . . . Only these questions are far more serious in the opinion of our blog community.

TKC TOLD YOU SO FIRST: MISSOURI INTERN-GATE HAS NOW OFFICIALLY ENSNARED ANOTHER POLITICIAN: DEMOCRAT PAUL LEVOTA
The Joplin Globe and Columbia Tribune are now "breaking" the news that Democrat Paul Levota has been caught in his own intern scandal. UCM (University of Central Missouri) is now conducting an official Title IX, or sexual assault/harassment, investigation of Paul Levota's office concerning an intern that worked for him. It is important to note that, unlike in Speaker Diehl's case, it is clear that the ALLEGED conduct was unwanted and REPORTEDLY caused the intern to flee the capital altogether . . .
Paul's seat is up for reelection in 2016, and a seat that was thought to be generally safe for the Democrats might now be totally up for grabs if the party makes the mistake of allowing him to run again. If just one more democratic senate seat flips republican it means that the governor's veto on such issues as choice and right to work can no longer be sustained. There is too much at stake for both sides, and Paul might be too severely damaged as a politician as well as a person that he will no longer get a free ride like his last several elections.

Fair play . . . Sen. LeVota's statement that he doesn't know anything should hold for now but obviously there are gonna be more inquiries. TKC certainly isn't gonna ask any questions because I don't wanna get choked . . . But an investigation launched by a public university certainly rises above a few titillating lines of text in an otherwise boring exchange.
(Read betwixt the lines: Midwest flyover country dead tree newsprint still can't write about SEX . . . They simply write "inappropriate," blush and then return to partisan talking points . . .
But here's something more important to consider . . .

As for TKC . . . Our blog community HAS LONG WARNED that Jeff City is a rough place and neither politico nor intern are safe from unsexy gossip because the "culture" of the Missouri capital is often focused on politicos building their reps rather than serving their constituents.

Of course this doesn't look good for Sen. LeVota but he has a chance to deal with this honestly and openly and he seems like he's doing the right thing by responding about what he knows and what he doesn't know.

A filmmaker was even jailed on a trumped-up probation charge after making a video about Islam that was deemed unhelpful to the official administration Benghazi narrative. The IRS hounded nonprofit groups considered insufficiently progressive.
In a recent rant about conservative Fox News — which has a fraction of the combined audience of the liberal mainstream networks ABC, CBS and NBC — Obama warned that the media are going to have change the very way they report news. Presumably, Obama believes that Fox tricks the unknowing masses into thinking wrong thoughts, especially about the relationship between the poor and government assistance.
As Obama put it: “We’re going to have to change how our body politic thinks, which means we’re going to have to change how the media reports on these issues, and how people’s impressions of what it’s like to struggle in this economy looks like.”
The Libs are going to GUT the FCC and stack it with folks who take their cues from the left.
Government has morphed entirely into politics and politics has completely become entertainment.
