Check the deets from the city council docket that every other media outlet in Kansas City is too scared to report:
Ordinance #150366: Accepting and approving an $18,000.00 grant from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to conduct Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) monitoring activities in the Kansas City area; designating requisitioning authority; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.
Remember that the "accelerated effective date" was formerly known as "EMERGENCY ORDINANCE" until Mayor Sly's charter change removed the tag in an effort to control the local media.
Still, this funding and Ebola study CONFIRMS TKC EXCLUSIVE REPORTING that pandemic fear persists in Kansas City among medical professionals.
