TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY 2ND DISTRICT AT-LARGE CANDIDATE JAY HODGES TOUTS IRISH ROOTS ON NEW COUNCIL CAMPAIGN SIGNS!!!

In the Brookside/Waldo, Eastern Jackson County and south Kansas City there are a ton of Irish people and Council contender Jay Hodges might be hoping to make a connection with those voters given his new shamrock signage.

To wit . . .

JAY "IRISH" HODGES IS STEPPING UP HIS CAMPAIGN AND THIS CELTIC GREEN SIGNS SHOULD STAND OUT WHEN THEY HIT LOCAL STREETS!!!

Unbeknownst to TKC and unlike Council Dude Terry Riley who campaigned with shamrock . . . Mr. Hodges is an Irish dude, he has a tattoo of Bobby Sands on his forearm AND he's a member of the AOH. Those are pretty strong Kansas City Irish credentials and I think you'd have to get beat up by Eddie Delahunt to do any better. Also, the four leaf clover vs. the shamrock is probably a bit more tasteful for those who really get into meaning of the Irish symbolism.

This Irish strategy is smart and it gives voters a bit more insight into where Mr. Hodges is coming from and maybe a hope that ethnic pride will bring people to the polls since low voter turnout signals that nothing else has inspired voters.

Developing . . .

  1. Wow, creative outside the box thinker.

Another candidate who puts a fucking shamrock on a campaign sign.

    Just wonderful.

  2. I'm 100% Irish. However, virtually every Irishman that runs on the ethnic heritage ticket seems to me to be all about old line patronage and corruption at city hall. Is this the plan?

  3. If you want old line patronage and corruption the you'll want Hodge's opponent, the ethically challenged retread Teresa Loar. If you want a council person who has pleaded guilty to campaign finance fraud, used her council seat to get family members jobs, traveled more than most council members on the City/taxpayer dime, etc., etc., then Loar is your gal.

Hodges will be a nice change for the better.
