MAYOR SLY AND KANSAS CITY MEDIA KEEP VOTERS DUMB: WHERE'S TEXT OF MAYOR SLY'S 'STATE OF THE CITY' SPEECH?!?
There's an appalling omission in the Mayor's recent remarks that's being noted by some of the best and brightest in Kansas City who, obviously, don't work in media.
To wit . . .
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS TERM AND IN THE DIGITAL ERA THE KANSAS CITY MAYOR DIDN'T RELEASE A TEXT VERSION OF HIS REMARKS ONLINE!!!
As of this writing the Mayor Sly's lame website hasn't been updated since Feb. 12th.
The Mayor's Twitter account is mostly just a bunch of selfies with middle-aged white broads and Internets startup nerds looking for a handout.
As usual, the City Hall website is nothing but cooking shows and propaganda . . . Also, the search function still sucks.
To wit . . .

Even worse . . .
SHAME ON THE KANSAS CITY STAR FOR HELPING MAYOR SLY JAMES SUPPRESS THE TEXT VERSION OF HIS STATE OF THE CITY REMARKS!!!
So many in the media have mistaken the low turnout election for reality in Kansas City neighborhoods when, in fact, law firms, unions and so many other political groups have colluded to enforce the political status quo.
This isn't just (supposed to be) some meaningless campaign speech . . . The Mayor is required by charter to give this address and since the development of the Internet all of the other Mayors have provided a text version of their remarks that was easily downloadable. No, the KCPT video doesn't count.
Like it or note, the Mayor has FAILED to live up to his tech promises in his final official address before an election and the state of modern reporting in Kansas City is so bad that no other media is bothering to call him out on it given that they took video and are subjecting locals to commercials before they can access what should be public information.

TKC, the mayor stopped talking to all other media. You should report that. It's almost criminal that he will only sit down and talk with Yael.

Dunn Construction, Burns and McDonnell, Black and Veatch, HTNB and the other assorted construction and engineering contractors and law firms and Uncle Sly’s job is to bring home the bacon to his masters. Sometimes this requires he put on a minstrel show and go out wearing his trademark bow time and sing and dance for the people.
