ReplyDeleteA) Turn labor into a commodity, sans benefits, where working people must under-bid each other until a "happy" medium of lower-than-minimum-wage is met.
B) Strip away consumer & social protections, such as insurance, fire regulations, safety and anti-discrimination laws protecting the disabled, people of color and those living in red-lined communities. Take these "savings" then funnel them to the VCs and Wall Street banks. Leave the victims to whine impotently (or buck up and create the next Facebook, slacker!)
C) Bypass local taxes funding local services then funnel the "savings" to... Well, you should know to whom by now.
D) Bray Sharing Economy, Disruptive Innovation and Game-Changer to a press too credulous or too compromised to ask pertinent questions. At least long enough for the IPO.
Makes great sense for them. But let's either reverse ALL anti-discrimination laws, safety laws, tax laws and insurance requirements protecting society & consumers to create a level playing field, or, let's decide to keep them and make every business comply.
