ReplyDeleteHere, make some art and we'll hang it on land we stole from your relatives. Only in Kansas City do we celebrate larceny in this way!
ReplyDeleteWhite people tell the Black experience much different than it actually happens. White people believe art from children some how softens the fact that their relatives were thrown out of their homes for this grotesque building misplaced from its true service boundaries. Anyway, the purported youth aren't from the neighborhood. Neighborhood leaders knew nothing of this project. I wonder who The Star is defining as neighborhood leaders. With the Star, there are always fine, important details missing from their purportedly objective narrative.
ReplyDeleteThe NEIGHBORHOOD is being described as Morning Star Baptist Church members. People from the actual neighborhood and community at-large were no where to be found at this event.
