Well, if that's the case then it sure hasn't done a very good job, because hardly anyone listens to what the Bible says. I've visited numerous Catholic parishes and never saw a Bible anywhere. In a good old-fashioned Baptist church you'll find Bibles in all the pews.

ReplyDelete9:16 - You don't know what you are blogging about. Catholics do follow the Bible and have on going education for adults in that area. If you see a Catholic Bible it has more books that bibles used in any other church, including the Baptist version. Also if you follow the Catholic version you can trace church leadership back to Jesus and the Apostles.
ReplyDeleteSeemingly unforgivable mistakes were made by Bishop Finn. I personally do not believe one word about this from JD Cousins and Chlosey or Thomas in the dead tree media. Too many "facts" in their stories just do not add up and in the many years being involved with many priests I never witnessed the possibility of the opportunities they say happened.
Ratigan is a different matter and that is where Bishop Finn is culpable and should have been subject to the judicial system and he was.
My personal belief is that if ANYONE, any priest, teacher, person in authority, or not in authority, does anything to anyone and most especially a child that they should be taken into custody and forgotten for years in jail to rot in their own poop. Then get life in prison. The unfortunate thing is that Bishop Finn was unprepared for the depth and resolve of those charges when he assumed the leadership role in KC. To have such vicious personal attacks for so long would cause anyone to crack under the pressure. I wish the Bishop well in retirement. The new Bishop that comes in will be hopefully the strong voice of moral leadership the Catholic Church in KC needs and will right the ship and bring fallen members back into the fold.
Oh and yes, I do believe that MEDICAL Marijuana should be legal, not recreational.
